Were doing the DDP in Sept. We want to save one counter service credit each for the road-trip back, so we dont have to stop for a meal, and can just drive straight home. We always have PLENTY of extra snack credits, and usually have 3 CS credits left over on the last day that just "expire" (though I believe we used them as snacks last year). BUT We are hoping to find SOMETHING we can get that we can throw in the trunk of the car to eat as a meal on the trip back.
Last year we left at breakfast time, and the breakfast menus were all up and operating at the All Stars (were staying at POP this sept) and there wasnt ANYTHING that wouldnt spoil without refridgeration. We were hoping for some type of counter service meal that was "no refridgeration needed" and "on the go" ready. (No cooler in the car) I usually cash in the snack credits on the last day, and we eat chips and JUNK on the trip back. We were hoping for a healthier way to do this.
Last year we cashed in all our snacks and CS meals and brought home a GARBAGE BAG full of snacks!!!
But they were all SNACKS! All chips and unhealthy stuff.
So does anyone out there know of a way to use the CS credits for a meal thats sort of "picnickable"? Like a meal that wont spoil that will be good and filling for later that day? If it wont go bad we can get it at a park earlier in the trip and just keep it in the room till we leave. I didnt see anything at the resort last year that would work for this. Has anyone else did this?
I'm aware of the snacks of muffins, cookies, and fruit at AK. All those dont need refridgeration. But they arent a "meal". They are just "snacky".
