I hope this is in the correct forum. I'm posting it here rather than the dining board, because it has to do with the concierge experience.

Cordials...I'm interested in how these are served in the evenings. I've read some of the available offerings on a few of the concierge posts, and they sound great. Do they just give you a small amount in a glass, or do they mix it in a drink for you?

I'm particularly fond of a "toasted almond" which is Kahlua, Amaretto, and half and half. Would they mix this for me? I also think the amaretto would be nice mixed with juice. Any other suggestions for ways to enjoy these or other cordials in the evening?

Thanks :D

We've only been to the Polynesian Concierge. There they just place all the bottles w/glasses on the counter. You mix your own.

Hope that helps :).

Same for WL Concierge. They have different bottles out in the evening, you mix your own-but they don't have everything. I think they had 5 or 6 different things.

They may get you some half and half if you ask but I don't know if they would get a certain kind that didn't happen to be out that night-but I have heard of people making suggestions and then the next night that request happens to be out.

If you get a little fridge in your room then you could always keep something in there that you think they might not have.

Same at Yacht all the bottles are out with glasses you help yourself!:)

At Polynesian, the CM in charge of that service sometimes offers suggestions on mixing the liquors. We've always found ample half & half available for the Kahlua, etc. We're not much into the "sweet & heavy" drinks, so not very skilled in the mixing area. Bailey's is easy--just a bit of ice and you're good to go. ;)

Thank you all so much! That is exactly the information I was looking for. :D

Baileys on ice...is that a coffee flavored drink? What about the Godiva? Can you tell I'm excited, lol? Just ready to try some new stuff. :D

Thanks!

BWI - same as the other posts..........The selection is put out - you make your own. By the way, Bailey's is "to die for" - on ice or all by itself.... Normally, the CM's will get almost whatever you ask for......Enjoy..........

Your post brought back a nice memory of our last visit. A couple of nights I made myself a Kahlua and half and half. I hadn't had anything like that in years, but it sure was fun!!!

ENJOY!!!!
