I read that the tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable & non-changeable. I was going to buy these for my parents as a gift while we were all there next year. However, what if they can't use them for some reason (sick, too tired etc.).Do you think DH and I could us them instead? When we show up at the door with the actual tickets in my parents' names, how will they know we're not them? I can't imagine ID is required?

We're not trying to cheat anyone here - just trying to figure out whether the tickets would be useable if my parents decide not to go. I know them - they can be fickle, my mom especially, and if there's a chance that those tickets would have to go to waste then I won't buy them. If I know that DH and I could use them if necessary, then I would buy them.

ETA: we would have vouchers from Ticketmania, which they would likely have to redeem themselves. Will I have to accompany them since I would have used MY credit card? Could they exchange the vouchers for the actual tickets on an earlier date, and just arrive (either them or us) with the actual tickets in hand at the door? What's the entry procedure?

I don't think that you'll have a problem using the cirque tickets if your parents can't go. I just recieved my tickets a few days ago and our names are not on them at all. I don't see any reason why they would even check ID. Just be sure to ask when ordering the tickets if you can do it.

If there's any question (and assuming the last names are different, since you said it's your parents), I would order the tickets in both your names (ie Smith/Jones) so that either of you can pick up the tickets. I did show ID to pick up the tickets that I had pre-ordered. I'm not sure if vouchers would be the same way, but the dual name thing would make it a moot point.

It would be no problem! I ordered vouchers for my in-laws for their Christmas present last year. When they got ready to use them in August, they called and made the reservation in their name. They redeemed the vouchers that I purchased without any problem.

OK, sounds like we could do it. It's such a lot of money to go to waste, but I hear it's a really great show and I think they would enjoy it if they were up to it.

If you have vouchers, then the person who's name is on the voucher, or within the computer would have to exchange the voucher for the actual tickets.

Once the tickets are picked up, or if you have actual tickets from the start - then it doesn't really matter who actually uses them.

Now, although the tickets are "Non-refundable" - you "might" be able to change the show date or time as long as you show up more than a half hour before the show time.

Do you know if the voucher can be exchanged for the ticket anytime before the show date? If so, we could do it as soon as we get to WDW, that way it wouldn't matter if my parents then got sick and couldn't leave the room or whatever - we could use the tickets.

No problem...I had two tickets for October 27 that I couldn't use; gave mine to my BIL, which he used on the night, and my DD's we exchanged for a credit that is good for one year.
