Good morning, everyone. Here is Thursday's edition. This will be the last one of the week as I have tomorrow off. I hope you enjoy.

In the spring of 1975, a baby in Detroit fell 14 stories and landed on Joseph Figlock, who was walking below. A few years later it happened again. Figlock and both babies survived. (can you imagine that?)

During the gold rush in 1849, some people paid as much as $100.00 for a simple glass of water. (and I'll bet it wasn't even Poland Springs)

Euripides was the first person on record to denounce slavery.

A 200 year old piece of Tibetan cheese was auctioned off for $1,513 in 1993. (what's up with that?)

A golden razor removed from King Tut's Tomb was still sharp enoungh to use.

Walter Huston and his son John become the first father and son team to win Oscars as director of and actor in "Treasure of Sierra Madre" in 1949.

The first time movie audiences were treated to a flushing toilet was in the movie "Psycho".

Astronaut Buzz Aldrin's mother's maiden name was Moon. Buzz was the second man to step onto the moon in 1969.

In 1969, Midnight Cowboy became the first and only X-rated production to win an Academy Award for Best Picture. (It's rating has since been changed to R)

The sound of E.T. walking was made by someone squishing their hands in jelly.

Have a great day and an even better weekend.

Kathy
