Okay, now I am confused. Back in April I booked 2 nites at the Hard Rock for a garden view at rack rate of $205.00 per nite, as there were no discounts available. My credit card was charged for the 2 nites plus tax or $455.10. Well, just now I call to make sure I requested a roll away bed, and the lady says, yes you are booked for 2 nites at HR for $153.75 per nite. I said, are you sure about that rate, because I booked this over the internet at rack rate? The lady says yes, my rate is $153.75 per nite. I say, are you showing I have already paid $455.10 per nite? She says yes.
I say, you know I thought it was strange that I was charged for both nites at the Hark Rock back in April, as I am staying 3 nites prior to that at Portofino Bay, and they haven't charged me a thing. She said, yes they charged you for one night plus tax. I got the entertainment rate of 187.50 per night for PB, and I made this reservation by telephone. I say, are you sure I will have a room at PB for 6/19 - 6/22? She says, oh yes, you are ready to go!
I have gone back and reviewed my credit card statement through April and May, and there is no charge for the Portofino reservation.
I am an Accountant by trade, and this is really scaring me.
