Storytime rentals - what should I pack?

Hi guys!
I am getting ready for my trip and was wondering.... do pool houses have towels available? I know the bedding is there but do the houses have towels for the bathroom and such?

Also, for anyone who rents houses a lot - are there any tips or hints that you could advise to help me pack? What should I take besides myself and my smile? lol

We rented from Storytime in one of their townhouses before. They had bathroom towels, but not beach towels. We prefer the larger towels for swimming, and we ended up borrowing some from my sister. She was renting a different house in Windsor hills that had plenty of beach towels.

One thing I didn't like about Storytime was they didn't provide a blanket for the beds. It was just sheets and a comforter. I like a blanket in between. We have rented from 2 other places in Windsor Hills, and 1 had blankets on the beds the other did not. I just find it strange that some places don't have blankets. I have never stayed in a hotel that didn't have blankets.

If there was anything we didn't think to bring, we just drove over to Target and bought it. It is really hard to know before you get there. All the houses are different. You could e-mail the owner if you have specific questions.

We rented a storytime house last year - January 2011. They had a bunch of white towels but not specifically pool towels. There seemed to be plenty though so we used some for the pool and some for the bathrooms.

It is very hard to know what to pack. We packed laundry soap and found that the previous renters had left behind their soap so we could have used that. Same with dishwasher soap. It's no guarantee but in many places, if you leave behind non-food items, sometimes they are left in place for the next guest. We were going to buy some pool toys but there were several already there so we didn't bother. We left behind the household supplies we didn't use. I know they throw out the food you leave behind so you're out of luck there, lol. . .

In the future, I am going to wait to buy any household items until I get to the place and see if there is extra left behind. There is a Target several miles down the road and a grocery store nearby and a Wal-greens too.
