Storytelling around the fire pit at AKL?

What time is the Storytelling around the fire pit at AKL? We are going there for dinner one evening and thought we might hang around for the Storytelling.

I think it is around 7 pm or so. At 5 or 5:30, they have a kid's music activity and they make music with a bunch of African instruments- it is really cute. Then they doa parade around the resort lobby- the parade is right before the storytelling I think.

It will be posted on the activities board in the lobby, to your left as you walk in the main doors. We did this twice & liked it, although with the heavy accent of the storyteller we had no idea what he was saying!

Can anyone staying at AKL go to the storytelling? A CM said that my family could only book it if we were AAA? I wasn't quite sure what she meant so I just left it. We're staying at AKL late July with a DD 6 and DS 4.

Unless they've changed something, anyone can go to the storytelling, whether you are a resort guest or not. It's not something you can sign up for ahead of time, you just show up (they were 30 min. late one night - we found this to be the norm at AKL - they were 45 min. late for night vision animal watching one night, and the Primal Parade for kids at the gift shop started 30 min. late once as well). The one night we went to storytelling there were about 8-10 kids & adults, the next time there were about 25.

I think the CM you talked to was really confused or totally mis-understood you. From all I have seen and read everyone is welcome to story telling and we are looking forard to it.

Thank you...I was very confused...I was actually booking ADRs and asked the CM what time the storytelling at AKL was...she then transferred me saying that I needed to book it...then that CM said I couldn't because I wasn't AAA. But I thought it didn't make much sense...maybe it's my British accent! Lol!!!
