We will be in Disneyland in mid October and would like to do one character buffet breakfast while we are there.

We've eaten at Storytellers but never at Goofy's Kitchen. Are the prices about the same? This would be our first breakfast buffet.

I'm leaning towards Storyteller's... but would love to hear your thoughts on which you prefer!

TIA!

I prefer Storytellers. The character interaction was absolutely amazing, and not just with the kids! I have a great pic of Tarzan's friend(her name is slipping my mind at the moment) having fun with my DH's bald head. LOL Goofy's is a better choice if you have younger children tho. More recognizable characters. And lots f action on the floor to keep them from eating their food.;)

Goofy's kitchen has more characters and more food variety. However, I do love Storyteller's and think that their food is better quality. It is a little cheaper at Storyteller's for the breakfast buffet.

I think most kids will prefer Goofy's. They have more recognizeable, typical characters there. They play music for the kids to dance to along with the characters and also have a thing where all the kids bang on instruments. Its a lot of fun. However, I agree, Storytellers has amazing food and a much (as in MUCH) more lowkey atmosphere. You can't go wrong with either.

I guess the bottom line is what is your goal: to be entertained or to be fed a more gourmet, quiet breakfast!

IMHO, both can be good but so far from what I have experienced Goofy's can be hit or miss sometimes on both the quality of food and character interaction.
We are doing Storyteller's this year and skipping Goofy's simply because the food was so good and the characters were great on our last trip. I also have to say that I enjoyed the atmosphere better as it was less chaotic.

We always do Storyteller's and love the interaction. If possible try to get there around 8AM or soon after and you'll have the characters all to yourself! Our DD was loving all of the attention she was getting during our last visit. She was the only child in the place for a good 25 minutes.

We've done both and for me, Storytellers just seems a little more muted, maybe more relaxing. I can't really describe it. We absolutely LOVE Goofy's Kitchen, but when we go to Storytellers, it just doesn't seem as hectic....at least for us. I think as another poster said, the dancing and music at Goofy's is fun, but a little distracting. :goodvibes

I would do Storyteller's. We did Goofy's and Storyteller's a few weeks ago, and Storyteller's won, hands down. We saw about 3 characters at Goofy's, and 5 at Storyteller's, and it was much less chaotic at Storyteller's. They did dancing at both places, but at Goofy's, we were in the far back corner, so we missed most of it.

We liked the food a lot at both places. Storyteller's also gives you the option to order off their menu if you don't want to do the buffet.

I vote for Goofy's. 8 characters this last time and the food was hot(for the hot stuff) and plentiful. They cut me a huge cut of the rib, almost could not eat it and everything else.

Another vote for Goofy's! We just don't care to see the characters Storytellers has (Brother Bear and such). We much prefer seeing Goofy, Minnie, Donald ect... at Goofy's. We used to go every year and always had good interaction and food.

My son probably wouldn't even know who the characters were if we did Storytellers (besides Chip and Dale, which are also at Goofy's).

We have done both and I liked the food better at Storyteller's but character interaction by far was better at Goofy's. We had 7 characters compared to 4 or 5 at Storyteller's and at one point there was only one character on the floor for 20 min. or so. We also had to wait an extra 40 min. for Kenai to come to our table. There was no song and dance interaction with the children during our visit. We were in the restaurant for a good two hours.
Now, we did enjoy our breakfast but my son said as soon as we were done that he wanted to go to Goofy's next time.

Do you think a couple of "big kids" would enjoy StoryTellers? We are headed back to DL for our 35th anniversary this week-end.....and soooooo much is new there since we honeymooned there 35 years ago.

We really liked Goofy's. The characters had a lot of fun teasing my teenage boys. We got some really cute pictures with Goofy, my DS14's favorite. The food was good as well.

Absolutely! It is the perfect place for "big kids". :thumbsup2 Much calmer atmosphere with just the right amount of character interaction. The banana stuffed french toast is to die for!:cloud9:

With all of this talk about GK & ST... how is Lilo & Stitches Hula Hoopla Breakfast?? I have a PS for that on my dd's birthday. We have done ST & Minnie & Friends @ Plaza Inn before... how does Lilo & Stitches compare?
