It's been a while and I know rules have changed. I made a reservation for 5 at the restaurant but my brother in law is now saying his new lady is coming, so with that....we are up to 4 adults and 3 kids (one only needing a high chair). Will I need to simply cancel since there are no other spots open at this point? Trying to find a number to talk to someone is near impossible these days

5 to 7 is a big jump. When you check in for your reservation there's a setting to add one more, but you're adding 2 people AND for a party of 7 they simply may not physically have enouhj or large enough tables to accomodate if you "just show up".
Is there any chance you'll be there the day before your reservation where you could pop by and speak to the host?

The cutoff is 8 before you have to call, and really only adding one since a infant only needs a high chair. I think I'll just check with the host when we get in a few nights before. Thank you

Infants count towards restaurants capacity though, so its irrelevant. The best thing you can do is to speak to the host and see what they recommend
