Just looking for some reviews for storyteller's cafe. Looking for a restaurant to eat at during our trip, perhaps for my bday. Buffet items look tasty and so does regular items. I checked out some other menus and they don't appeal to me as much as this place. Thoughts, please! :)

We've eaten the buffet a few times. Sometimes it was great; other times I felt they did not offer enough choices. But the food was always tasty.

Were leaning towards dining there for a character breakfast for our next trip. Ive never been but based on what I've been told, it's good very good food!

We did the character breakfast there and loved it. We ate off of the buffet and the french toast was unbelievable. It was also much quieter than the rest of the character meals we did (Minnie's, Goofy's, and Surf's Up) and didn't seem as crowded and crazy.

I love the fact that Storytellers has the buffet and then menu items for others in party that maybe light breakfast eaters. The food has always been bery good and best of all HOT. The made to order eggs are yum yum yummy.

I think having Chip and Dale and other forest characters is fun for the kids. Kids never seem to be shy with the animal characters.

Tables are spaced with plenty of room between. I think this might be due to the fact at various times during your meal the characters will form a parade with the kids of "ALL" ages for a walk around the tables. I am thinking they also let the kids play small hand instruments. ( that was a while back but hope they still have that option)

Of the menu items are very good to. It has always been just a good hot, fun meal to have with family.

The brunch offers a decent selection. They have a nice oatmeal buffett, and they have smoked salmon, plus you can order pancakes (they have waffles too I believe). Oh and eggs benedict! Yummy.

Was that for the breakfast buffet or for the dinner buffet?

I've read mixed reviews on here about the buffets. I can't speak about them personally because I've only ordered off the regular menu. I've only tried 2 dishes so far, but both have been delicious, and my boyfriend and I will now include Storyteller's in our eating plans on all future DLR trips, most likely for at least 2 meals. The cheese ravioli was the best I've ever had. It just melted in my mouth. They serve bread before the meal too, which was warm and fresh on both of our experiences. So I can highly recommend the regular menu if you decide against any of the buffets. :thumbsup2

mmmmm Storyteller's :) I love it there! We have not done breakfast but we have done lunch and dinner. Lunch we all ordered sandwiches from the menu (I had a chicken sandwich, DD had a burger, DBF had something similar) dinner I've had the pasta once and chicken twice, it's very good!! DBF has the buffet, he loves it!!! The corn chowder is delish!! One time I had the corn chowder and the field greens salad for my dinner and OMG it was YUM!

Cool! Thanks for the insight on the lunch and dinner!

I've heard poor reviews recently about the very small selection at the dinner buffet.

We ate there last month for dinner.
We all expected to order off the menu, but then when we got there, most of us ended up getting the buffet. it just looked great! ended up tasting great, too. Not a whole lot of choices, like you would expect from a buffet, but if you look at the selections and they look like stuff you would eat, you probably will be happy. We were - the quality is good.
oh, and our kiddos ordered off the menu which ended up to be a good value - they never eat even to justify buffet prices.
No characters at dinner, but very nice meal.
we would return.

hope this helps!

I would not ever do the dinner buffet again. For the price you pay, the items offered are VERY limited. The quality of the food was okay ( I won't mince words here, the desserts were AWESOME!!) but the service was very poor as well. I have heard that ordering off of the menu is much better though. For us, it was a bad enough experience that we will not go back.

Tony from the DLR DisUnplugged podcast did a review of the dinner buffet there recently on the podcast. Maybe about a month back? He commented about the lack of choices and thought it was expensive for a small selection.
