Storyteller Cafe Character Breakfast at Napa Rose?

Hi Peeps --

I saw on the Disneyland website that the Storyteller's Cafe character breakfast (Grand Californian) is moving to Napa Rose during the current refurb. Does anyone have info on this? I tried to make a reservation online but didn't have any luck. We might give it a try next week - it sounds kind of cool. Thanks!

In an effort to make your experience even more magical, Storytellers Cafe will be undergoing renovations from January 19 to February 6, 2015. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Fortunately, many favorite Storytellers Cafe meals and events can still be enjoyed at different locations in*Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa—you won’t have to venture far for storied food and fun while rebuilding is underway:

Meet, greet and get a bite to eat with some of your Disney friends at a Character Breakfast—now at*Napa Rose*from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM.No lunch will be available during this time at Storytellers Cafe—however, additional lunch offerings can be enjoyed just a hop, skip and a jump away at the*Hearthstone Lounge indulge. Indulge in several savory entrées at an all-you-care-to-eat dinner buffet, which has been relocated to the Trillium Banquet Room from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Thanks - I saw that on the site but when I tried to make a reservation it didn't work. I thought someone might be there and able to report in. I'll be there tomorrow so I'll find out then and keep you posted.

I think you might have to call the Napa Rose to make reservations there, at least I did when I made our reservation there a few weeks ago. (for the chef's counter, it might be different for the rest of the restaurant but it is worth a call maybe?)

This is correct. Rather than making the reservation online, I chose to call Disney Dining today. The CM who made our Sunday reservations noted that Storytellers is closed for refurbishment, but the character dining breakfast/brunch was at Napa Rose and that's where our reservations are for.

From an ambiance perspective, it's obviously more intimate given the differences between the two venues. I did feel like the buffet was not as extensive/smaller than when it's at its normal locale.
