I have just made a Dec. ADR for this? Could not find alot of info on the threads about it.
Can someone who has been lately give me a run down on the food for adults and kids, what was good.
Atmosphere?
Picture info?
Thanks.
We are going Dec 8 at 8pm.

We went in June and it was good, not great but good. Here is the menu

If you are going for the Princesses, you'll see a lot of them. If you're going for the food (like we did) you may feel that the price was too high.

When you're party is called in, you will be taken to have your family picture with the greeting Princess (for us, it was Belle in her ballgown). Then you will be taken to your table. There is a all you can eat/help yourself cold bar with salads, cheeses, lunch meats, herring, etc. You will then order your dinner choice. We had the salmon, the pork shank and the traditional kjottkake (Norwegian meatloaf) and a kids pizza. The pork shank was the winner, the salmon was good and the meatloaf was ok. During dinner the rest of the Princesses will make their way thru to all of the tables for pictures and autographs (we saw Aurora, Snow White, Cinderella and Alice). Dessert is served family style, and supposedly you can get more of anything. Our server disappeared for a long time and never brought the coffee we ordered.

Because my DS is 11, we had to pay the full adult price for him to order a kids pizza. Our total bill was almost as much as we had spent at Brown Derby the night before for an incredible meal & service, so Akershush was a disappointment for us.

Thanks for the Info. We are on the Dining Plan so price will not be an issue.
Last trip we did the Cinderella Dinner at 1900 Park Fare and it was great.
I wanted to do a different Princess Experience. My 9 year old son loves seeing the Princesses almost as much as my daughter.
Food sounds like it will be fine for us and I love the Photo part of the package.
The Breakfast here just did not have any foods my kids would enjoy, so dinner was the best option.

This is our 3rd trip, so we always add several new places along with some old favs. I also try and get a variety of buffets, sit downs and character meals to the week.
Our ADR's are
Dinner at Boma
Dinner at Kona
Dinner at Chef's De France
Dinner at 50's Primetime
Dinner at Chef Mickey's
Dinner at Askerhaus Princess Storybook
Dinner at Tutto Italia with Candlelight Processional seating
Breakfast at Crystal Palace.

We love this character meal. With the photo package it's a great deal for 1TS on the dining plan. (Photo in my signature is from the package which I embellished in my PhotoPass account.) We were there for dinner in June. Belle was the greeter, and our princesses working the room were Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel and Jasmine.

Our meal was very good, everyone at our table enjoyed it. It's on my list to do again next year!:thumbsup2

We just took our boys to lunch at Akershush on our recent trip. We enjoyed the experience with the princesses. My boys aren't so much into them as much as I wanted to see them, but this was a great way for us to get to see them. My youngest fell in love with Cinderella and did not want her to leave. :lovestruc

I thought the interaction was good, the pictures were great, and the food was not bad at all. It was not the best meal we had at WDW but it wasn't the worst. Our server, however, was not on the ball. He left us for quite a while without checking if we needed anything (we did), he was very slow, my meal came out several minutes before anyone else at the table, I had to ask him 3 times to bring some boxes. He was not rude, just absent.

Overall we enjoyed it for what it was. They boys thought it was cool, but want to try another restaurant at Epcot next time.

I think it is the greatest bang for your buck as far as getting to see almost all the princesses at one time. It beats standing in line! The food for us was secondary.

I second that!!!! :thumbsup2 We stick with the open faced sandwich and soup and DD loves the meat on the cold bar...

I agree. And the "free" portraits are a nice touch. We will be back for this one I am sure.

The food is just very distinct and Norwegian. I come from a Norwegian background, and the fish and cheeses are a big part of meals. Even I found some of the flavors a bit much and I am used to them.

But, when in Rome...it was nice to try something very different too.

Have a wonderful time!!

(BTW - we got Belle for the photo and saw Cinderella, Aurora, Jasmine and Ariel. WE had an 11:40 appointment and were seated right away).
