Would it be worth my time to visit if I'm an adult and going solo?

We stayed at AKL last year and never made the storytelling, although I heard lots of folks (at the pool, at Mara) talking about it. The stories are not Disney ones, but stories of Africa. I think they are meant for everyone not just children.

We are stayng at AKL in August and we are going to eat at Jiko, then go to hear the storyteller. I'm really looking forward to it.

The stories are cute and interactive. They are basically African folktakes designed to teach lessons. It was fun with my 5 year old. In MO I would check it out but not plan on making it a nightly event. Enjoy!
Besides, those rocking chairs are sooooo comfortable I could sit through anything! :flower:

We went to the storytelling one night, it is for everyone, not just children.

My only suggestion, get there early! The rocking chairs get taken up quick! We were there about 20-30 min early, and all four of us got a chair.

Have fun......

SandraB,

I'm planning on taking in dinner at Boma and the storytelling one night - what time does the storytelling start?

Also, what part of NB are you from? I'm in Sussex!
