My husband and I (without our kids) stayed at the YC in late August last year for our 10 year anniversary. The pool area is wonderful! At one end is a sandy, lagoon type area with sand toys and lots of small children. There are hot tubs scattered throughout. There is also a "rambling river" type of area with a gentle current. It is quite deep for most of the ride. Tubes are available for rent, but we just bought foam noodles at the rental booth and used them for the whole trip. There is also a large standard type of pool area with waterfalls and grottos. All of the pool has a sandy bottom and the areas are connected with bridges and walkways. There is also a shallow area with a circular current (I've never seen that before). The slide is impressive and the walk to the stairs is just enough to make you chilly. Once you get there, the ride is long enough to be worth it. I think the slide may be closed for maintenance right now, but check if that's important to you. I believe they will bus guests to BW if sliding is a priority. At the base of the slide is a kiddie slide and small pool. Overall, the best pool I've seen at a hotel. They are also very good at making sure only YC/BC guest have access by checking wristbands upon entering. Buy a refillable mug at the pool bar and have it filled there or at Beaches and Cream for your whole trip. Enjoy!
