Stormalong Bay rehab?

We have a trip scheduled to BCV in February '05. Has anyone heard anything about a rehab at Stormalong Bay? I seem to always end up at Disney resorts that have a rehab to the pool or pool slide going on. I spoke to Member Services and the Beach Club front desk and they indicated that they know of nothing scheduled as of right now. (I repeat as of right now.) I can just feel one of those member services letters coming to tell me of something major being closed!!

The SB slide was done in Feb. '03 because we were there, and we received the dreaded Member Services letter!! I was also at BWV once during the clown slide rehab and closure!

Has SB ever been shut down for an extended period of time for a major rehab?

Any info would be helpful.

Well, we were there in Oct 03 and the lazy river portion was closed because they were reconstructing the two bridges. I wonder if they do the pool in phases - since they had done the slide before. Maybe they just close down a portion so the whole thing isn't closed at once?

The paint on the bridges is peeling badly if that means anything...

I know that every time my trip gets close I have a dream that as I go under the gates that welcome us to Walt Disney World, it will be like the Grislwald family from the movie "Vacation" and the whole place will be closed for two weeks of refurbishment. Sounds like you have the same nightmare. We always joke about it now as we enter the property.
