Stormalong Bay cabana capacity

Hello,

We’re looking to rent a cabana for our upcoming Beach Club trip. I read that the cabanas hold 6 people. We will have 4 adults and 4 kids (3 of which are under 10.) Does anyone have experience with them allowing more than 6 people on the reservation? Thanks!!

We've done the cabanas a number of times, and I only recall seeing a larger group with kids once (like you're describing). Perhaps since they were in one of the cabanas on the 'beach/sand' and there was more room, they didn't really say anything or kick anyone out. There won't be enough chairs for everyone. I expect the snacks and drinks will be sized for a max of 6, which probably isn't a big deal. If your kids are like ours, they'll be spending most of the day in the water and not in a chair anyway. I'd recommend requesting Cabana 1 or 2 - on the sand and closer to the pool, with a little more room to spread out. Also, keep in mind, there are only 4 cabanas, and they go quickly. Call as close to 60 days out as possible, or you might not get one.

Just guessing here but we had one this past summer and the attendants were very accommodating. I would go down early and talk with them and explain. Feel like you will be ok.

We rented 2 last May. The capacity is 6. We had 14 people but one was a one year old, so he didn't count. They absolutely would not give us one more wrist band. We tried several different people and it was a no go. We got down there early and one person grabbed a chair right near the cabana in the front. (I can't remember what numbers we had but they were the ones closest to the fence by the walk way in front of each other)
