A few months ago my painter broke the lock on my storm door. Last week the carpenters broke the pneumatic closer and it's stuck open. Seems like it is time to replace it. In the last month or so I've replaced my roof and skylight, had $1,000 of siding repaired, and 9 sprinkler heads plus an emergency sprinkler repair. So I'm sick of spending money on my house. But I need a new storm door. I'm a single mom. Not too handy but I can do basic stuff like hang blinds. So I'm trying to figure out which door to buy. Lowes has a Larson door for about $200 (with a coupon). HD has two Andersen 3000 series doors. One is about $300 with hardware and can be installed in 45 minutes (which means hopefully I could do it in 3 hours:). The other one isn't the fast install and it's about $250. Thoughts or advice? TIA!

I would be hitting up the vendors who damaged it to pay for the replacement and installation. since it was previously broken by the painter (but still usable) and the carpenters rendered it useless I would hit them up to cover a portion of the cost, or at the very least if I was willing to foot the bill they would do the install.
