Storm delays, question

I'm sorry. I can't bear this any longer. The words are 'waive' and 'waiver.' Wave and waiver mean something completely different.

You are correct! I take zero offense since I’m the absolute worst with that especially when typing on my phone!

We were scheduled to come home today from WDW, but we opted to leave a day early, so we got home last night. SWA had an “alerts waiver” for our area (Philadelphia) and it just seemed to be the best decision. It is a miserable weather day here. And it was tough leaving Disney a day early. But I did not want to risk airline cancellations/delays. And the flight we would have taken today from MCO was canceled. So it worked out for the best.

So sorry you had to leave a day early! However better the hours in end at the airport!

Thanks! Leaving early was tough, but at the very least I thought flying yesterday would have been bumpy to say the least. And we’ll be returning in August.:goodvibes Better safe than sorry.

We are schedule to fly out Friday at 10am. The weather man is now calling the rain Thursday to Friday a nor’easter :sad2:! Luckily still just rain not snow...

How early do airlines (we are flying JetBlue) usually wave change fees? Was thinking I could try to get out Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Worst case we wait it out and hope we get out, it’s a shorter trip so losing a day or two would really be a bummer!

Updated in post 34, but lots of airlines are giving fee wavers with the weather, we switched to Thursday! Half day extra in Disney!!!
A couple times I have been able to call and talk the airline customer service rep into letting me make a change to leave a day or two early even before they decide to put out their weather travel alert, just by telling the rep the weather forecast. Once the phone rep even put me on hold, came back to the phone and said she had just checked the weather and she agreed that I should change my flight at no charge.

Wouldn’t you know it, now a storm is expected on my way home! Still stressed but way less then coming down.... to add a day or not that is the question.
