Is it possible to leave your luggage with bell services for several hours if you check out early and have a morning tour that is not over til after lunch? (specifically at PPH)

Yes. We do this on every trip. Check out, leave the luggage with Bell Services and head for the parks.

Oh, that's great to know!! Also, if I have my car there, I can leave it til afternoon without extra charges, right?]
Do you guys stay PPH often? I'm used to DLH, so I know how long it is to get back to the room from the park. Can you cut thru GC to get to PPH?

Yes. You can definitely leave your bags. Hit the bellman button on your phone and they will come up and get them. Give the guy who comes and gets them a reasonable tip (I usually tip a buck per bag). When you are ready to leave, if you valeted your car, give bell desk both tickets. They will bring them out to the curb and put them in your car. At that point you should give them about 2 dollars a bag.
I think the walk from PPH is shorter than DLH. You basically walk across the street and depending on whether you want to downtown Disney entrance or the GCH entrance to DCA depends what you do in the lobby. There used to be a map floating around on here with the walking routes for both. For downtown Disney you basically go through the main doors of GCH and make an immediate left (like after 3 strides) and follow that hallway around. For the DCA entrance you go through the main GCH doors and keep walking straight (you will need to go around a pillar though!) which will take you sort of outside and you go straight until you are forced to make a right and you will see the entrance on your left. Here is the main trick: DO NOT FOLLOW THE SIGNS TO DISNEYLAND AT PPH!

Yeah, at the resort hotels you get two FULL day of benefits for even just a one night stay. You can check and park as early as 6am and get your room keys and store your bags...then on check out day, you can leave your car and store your bags all day...all for just a one day charge.

They WANT you to be on property as long as possible and spend your money!

....and yeah...PHP through the GCH lobby is the quickest way into the parks.

Pretty much...even though you only have access to your room usually from 3pm till 11am the next day, you have access to everything else still all day for both check in and check out days.

You can NOT however charge to your room after check out!

Yes definitely like others have said plus the baggage storage areas are very well managed, air conditioned and monitored with video surveillance. Extremely safe and reliable. We've done it many, many times on both arrival and departure days and have never had a problem. They'll even let you retrieve items if needed. We always tip well. :)
