I will be pumping breastmilk for my baby on the ship. Is there a fridge in the cabins or can one be reserved? If not, will they store the breastmilk for me?

Thank you.

If you are on the Dream/FAntasy the cabins have fridges in them. If you are on the Magic/Wonder you can request a real fridge to be brought to your cabin. They will not store it for you.

If you are on the Magic/Wonder and you have a fridge brought in, make sure you let the attendant know and that they cannot unplug the fridge. For some reason our attendant kept unplugging the fridge in our room.

When I needed a fridge on the Magic it was a huge pain to get one. I had a special needs dd so we really did need the fridge. They have 'cool boxes' or something in every room so you need to make sure you actually get a fridge. I would request one in advance and then talk to your stateroom attendant about it too. I'm in the same boat for our next trip since I will have a 4mo old!

If you are on the Magic or Wonder definately call in advance to request a fridge and if for some reason you no longer need one call and let them know that too. I called and they put one on my reservation no problem. I did have a problem with the fridge in that they didn't clean it out between moving it from its previous cabin to ours, so it still had someones old breakfast and Mickey Bar in it. My cabin steward didn't look inside but he came and cleaned it as soon as I contacted him.

Your question reminds me of the early days of the TSA when they were sorting out the details of bringing liquids on board planes , and a reporter asked a TSA official about breast milk....and the official said "it is permitted only in it's original container":thumbsup2 Apparently he only heard the "milk" part of the question.

We were hoping to spend the Nassau Day at Atlantis and leave our kids on the ship. Has anyone who was breastfeeding done this? If so, how did it work? I can bring the pump but where and how can I store the milk before turning it in. Pumping right before I drop him off will not give the staff enough milk to satiate him until I get back.

Are there refrigerators in the room? This may be a moot point, since all of the excursions may be booked by the time we reach our 75 day window. I want to know just in case. Thank you.

There are "Coolers" in the stateroom - which you'll need to put bags of ice in to keep things cool.

On our last cruise in December, I was on medication that needed to be refrigerated, I had a note from the doctor and called it in to Disney Cruise line - they were able to provide me with a small fridge. The only downside was that it was under the desk and took up one of the few outlets available in the room.

I've merged your thread with another thread on the same subject, you will find your answers in the posts above your's.

The Dream does have a real fridge in each cabin.

Thank you. I was going to search the topic but did not. This proves I should have.

In 2009 we were on the Magic with our 7 month old. About a month or so before the cruise I asked our pediatrician to write a quick note saying we needed a refrigerator for expressed breastmilk. I faxed it to Disney and it was there when we arrived no problem.
