stores are reportedly sold -- anyone know details?

Disney sold them themselves through their site on ebay. They made quite a bit off soem of those fixtures... Pathetic!

The Disney Store at the Pentagon City Mall in Arlington Virginia closed recently. Nothing but white boards covering the entrance now.

This closure was a total shock to me. I frequented the one in Pentagon City, know the CM's well and the closure was never mentioned. Last weekend I went to pick up a Disney Cataloge and was in total shock to see the boarding up. TDS in Tyson's corner has reopened since it's remodeling but is considerably smaller than the other stores. TDS in St. Charles Town Center in Waldorf, MD is still open, but I don't know if this particular store is due to close either. The one in Ronald Regan National Airport is also still open, and don't know it's future fate either. I hope the remaining stores stay open but would not be shocked if they close as well.

I was saddened to see a sign in our Disney Store the other day, announcing they would be closed by Feb 16. The CM I spoke with said that the mall wouldn't renew their lease, but I wonder if she was mistaken. She told me that they had only found out the week before that they would be closing.
