Storage room at POP....

My DH, DD (18 months), DS(4) and I will be staying at the POP the end of this month. Is there enough room to unpack everyone's clothes or will we be living out of suitcases?? This is our first time staying at POP and I have read a lot of posts about how small the rooms are there.

It's not so much the size of the room, but the amount of actual storage space available. I have found that two people can unpack but that's about it. There is a smallish hanging area for your hangable clothes. The bureau isn't all that large, maybe a total of about 4-6 drawers. But, you could keep the little ones stuff in a suitcase..that might help.

Depending on if you're a light traveler or not... We did, but we tend to travel light.

I think goofy4tink had a good idea.

1) Unfortunately, expect to live out of suitcases.
2) As you can see from above, the drawer space is very limited.
3) The rooms are just too small for big dressers.
4) My suggestions
. . . keep underwear in the suitcase, as they compress well
. . . put outer t-shirts and walking shorts in drawers
. . . hang other shirts and trousers on the "closet" bar

We have stayed at ASMo and with the same dresser, we were able to unpack all of our clothes. We each had a drawer for clothes, plus the closet space. No living out of suitcases for us. But this also depend on the amount of clothes you bring.

We stayed there for 8 nights and were able to completely unpack. There were four of us, me, dh, dd (8) and dd (6). What we did: the girls shared two drawers - the small one held socks and underware, the larger one clothes. Then dh and I each got two drawers, a smaller one and a larger one. Coats we kept in the suitcase until we needed them, then they got hung up in the closet. The girls' princess dresses got hung up right away.

I kept hearing how small Pop is and I just returned with all 5 of us in a room (one being a 2 year old) and I thought it was just fine. We even had room for a pack and play and I never felt extra crowded or anything. We did unpack a lot of clothes. I'm not sure we unpacked everything but we hung up some shirts and put clothes in all the drawers. I thought it was just fine and didn't feel like we were living out of the suitcase.

we managed fine...there are 4 of us as well. I unpacked everything and put it up and then I use my large suitcase with wheels as a laundry hamper...when it gets full I know it is time to do laundry. The wheels make it nice for taking the clothes back and for to get them washed.
Back to unpacking...My DH and I both had 1 large section each and I think maybe we shared a small one. My kids clothes all fit rather well into 1 so it wasn't much of an issue. Things that were not an issue were maybe left sitting out on the shelves...but I think most everything was put up.

I just posted a similar thread. I was so worried about storage space and bus service. We normally stay at the CBR and this is our first stay at a value.

5 of us managed just fine. 2 adults, 3 kids a double stroller and a single stroller. It is set up very well.
