Storage ideas for room space

We've used the over the door shoe holder before and closet organizer at disney but looking for any other little tricks! We were trying to find a way to organize kids socks/etc...with lack of drawer space and were thinking some sort of collapsible container for too of closet shelf. Also has anyone used any other over the door type hooks? Thanks

What about packing everything as outfits, down to socks and even hair stuff if you have girls. If everything is packed in a bag, it cuts down on stuff you need to put places. You could even keep things in a suitcase if you needed to because it would be all organized. (I always have a bag of "extras" like socks and underwear that stays in the suitcase (but put out of the way).

To go along with my bag theme, I sometimes take chip clips (because clothes pins can be hard to find) and hang bags on the hangers (that aren't already the clippy kind).

The more you pack the more weight in the suitcases I experienced. I use to pack my multi tier hanging shelf, but it was heavy.
There are lite net bags, oversize ziplock bags that I take with undies, socks, shoes in them to put on the hangers.The reusable shopping totes are nice too, they are light.
I take a container for the sink counter and a toiletry bag that hangs with a hanger hook.

We use ziplock bags a lot too. Do you just hang them from the hanger then with clothespins?

We do the over the door holder for the bathroom area. In POR and POFQ (our typical home base) we have started taking the pop up laundry baskets. The baskets are very light weight. If you have packed in the ziplock bags, these are great for standing in them. We get a different color for the actual dirty clothes. We unpack and nest the suitcases inside of each other and store in the car or the corner by the sink.

Another thing I have tried here at home for my daughter is the shoe hanger that is long and looks like shoe boxes stacked. It will hold approximately 10 pair of shoes. The cardboard makes it sturdy and the slots allow for an outfit and quick access. We did this when my daughter was younger. We put outfits in there and she could pick what she wanted as long as it was all in the same pocket.
