I would like to combine a trip to the fort with a cruise on DCL.

Does anyone know of a safe storage facility near FW? Would probably spend a few days at the fort before and after the cruise. If it were only a 3 day cruise, I would just leave the travel trailer at the fort, but the cruise I want is for 7 days.

TIA for any advise or recommendations.

I would check with Fort Wilderness. Even though you are looking at a 7 day cruise, you still might be able to leave your camper at the overflow lot since you are planning to come back there and camp after. It might take some persistance to get it but I think it's worth the shot. All you would need is a parking pass to leave on the camper. Just tell them you're going on a cruise in the middle of your disney vacation, don't need to tell them it's not a disney cruise. I know several people that have left their RVs in the lot while cruising.

It is a Disney cruise that I want to take.

In addition to the TT we have a golf cart that would need to be stored. Our TT is not a toy hauler. The cart travels in the bed of the truck. If we drove the truck to the port, the cart would need to be stored, also.

Well, since you are taking a Disney cruise, I believe you are allowed to keep your camper there. You could always get a chain and lock your golf cart up to your travel trailer in the lot. I have seen this done. There used to be a couple who would leave their TT and golf cart in the overflow lot during the week and just put it on the site during the weekend. Still haven't figured out how they got away with this. What dates are you looking at - it might make a difference with how crowded the overflow lot could be.

ETA - Just a thought but maybe you could use the Disney Cruise Bus and just leave your truck and camper in the overflow lot. I see the Cruise Bus coming into the fort for pickups/drop-offs alot of times.

I would call Disney back and tell them you are taking a Disney cruise and then spending a couple days at the fort. I would bet they can offer free transportation back and forth to the port for you. Then you don't have to pay to park the truck and you could stay a couple more days at the fort with the saved cash. Plus your truck would be seriously more safe at Disney then at port canaveral
