stopher1's Father-Sons Adventure: Star Wars Weekend - May 2009

Can I ask- what do you keep in your OL that makes it so wonderful for you?
Ellen

Lot of things really... the biggest is the air mattress/pump/sheets so that when we are in a studio or 1 BR that doesn't actually sleep 5, we all have a bed.

Then things like the power strip so that all of our electronics plugs/chargers are in one single place, instead of here there and everywhere...

...a Brita water pitcher since we don't like the taste of the water there
...scissors - you just never know when you'll need to cut off tags, labels or whatnot...used them 2x this trip
...a mini-waffle iron, "just add water" pancake/waffle mix & syrup - hot breakfast in the room... better than just plain cereal sometimes
...first aid kit - less to pack in the suitcase. We used it 2x this trip as well.
...playing cards - good fun in the evenings
...dry foods like boxed cereals, instant oatmeal packs, kool-aid mix, sugar, etc - all stuff to whip up in the room without a lot of extras required
...ziploc type bags (great for small item storage when needed) & small garbage bags to replace what gets filled up so quickly (come in handy since mousekeeping only comes in on longer stays to take out the trash)
...and lots more that I can't even think of right now

All of these items are certainly not necessary - but they do make our trips more enjoyable, and yes, wonderful - definitely more convenient and home-like. And having them there already, we have less to think about bringing along with us.
