Thanks, kind of what I figured, just didn't realize that was the name. Can you tell this is the first time I will be doing this ?

I think (but am not positive) that Gaint in PA is the same as Stop & Shop. Anyway, my Giant flyer has this deal starting on Sunday. Disney is not one of the gift cards shown, but I am going to buy one and see. Ultimately, it would be a great help, as I'd get 2% back to my credit card, possibly 1% back to my kid's school, and the $10 Catalina--which I will use to buy a ton of diapers for my baby. I'll report back if it works, and then I'll repeat about 10 times--or more!

I just went to the stop and shop near my job. There are no signs anywhere promoting this deal. I grabbed a disney one and got the $10 catalina, thankfully.

It does have an expiration of one week and the fine print is one coupon per transaction per day.

When you say there is an expiration date - is that when the catalina expires?

I went to Stop & Shop this morning and purchased $250.00 in gift cards. I had them do 5 different transactions. I did receive the 5 $10.00 off your next visit coupons.

The coupons have an expiration of 6-15-12 and they state Limit one coupon per transaction per day. So, now I have to go to Stop & Shop everyday next week and purchase a couple items, just so that I can cash these in.

I was planning on purchasing more tomorrow as the store I went to today did not have all of the cards that I wanted and I am going to my regular store tomorrow. But now if I do, I will have more $$ in coupons than there are days to use them before they expire.

Our store had a sign by the cards that said that it wasn't stated in the circular but it is 1 coupon per transaction per household.

I'm wondering if you buy more tomorrow, if the exp will be 6/16, and if you buy the next day - exp will be 6/17. B/c really, if the promotion is going on until 6/15, and you buy these on 6/15, they can't have them expire that day. Does that make sense?

Another question, you said you could only use one coupon per day - but what if I use one and my DH uses one. We also have 3 stores in our area - we could go to each one and each use a coupon - that would be 6 coupons. Do you think they are linked to our Rewards Card - like if I used one on Monday in one store and then went to another store on Monday and tried to use it - do you think it would know that I already used one on Monday in a different store?

It does make perfect sense. I was wondering the same thing, but to have to go to the store everyday to redeem a coupon is a pain. I like to do one big shopping trip a week, not a little everyday. I will spend a lot more $$ if I go everyday (maybe this is why they have that restriction)...

Last year you had to have a S&S card to get these coupons, so maybe they could track you that way? I want to do this too, but the store is 10 miles away. It won't be worth it if I have to go back every day.

I'm going to another S&S this afternoon to try again (we have seriously at least 3 within 5 miles of my house) I will see if the $10 catalina I got this
morning will work towards another gift card, and see if I can get another catalina to print today. Will report back in a bit!

Woot! Just found out that Shoprite is also offering this deal 6/10-6/17. I drive by one of those 2x a day.

Great, we have two of those also. My main concern is I would love to be able to purchase other gift cards with this $10.00. We do eat food, but there is just two of us so I would love to purchase more gift cards.

Reporting back...I was able to buy another $50 Disney gc, use the $10 coupon from this morning towards it, and got another $10 coupon for the next one. Driving by yet another s&s tonight so I'm going back for more lol

Last time, you had to buy each $50 worth of GC separately to get the $10 Catalina per $50. Yes, it takes lots of time. If you buy $100 in GC, in one order, you still only get a $10 coupon.

My store last year did not allow you to use the Catalinas on buying more GC, after the first day. I will see Sunday what happens this year.

To use the $10 coupons, last time I just had to split my order into pieces and apply one $10 coupon at a time. One per transaction, is not the same as one per day per person. I don't think. Last time they did scan my card each time, and it went thru fine.

This time, we want to get almost $2000 in Lowes GC (for the bathroom renovations). And I may get about $300 in Disney GC. We were going to spend that $$ anyway, this sort of saves us 20%, and I will use my Disney CC.

We spend $300/week on groceries, so using them will not be difficult.

I completely agree. I called my local store to speak with the manager, he was busy so they took my name and number...never got a phone call back. I will see what they say tomorrow when I do my shopping, if I don't like the answer, I will be on the phone with corporate on Monday morning....If there are going to be restrictions, they should be up front, not after the purchase.

If I go into the store and buy $500 in gift cards, I would expect $100 in $10 coupons. If they don't print, I'll just return them. Since I pay with a credit card (gotta get those miles!), won't they have to pay a fee for the charge and a fee for the credit? Plus, I will not be a happy customer. But if I do get the coupons, I will have to make a stink about using them by the expiration date.
