Stop on Casey Jr Circus train.

Several weeks ago a thread came up about a new stop on this train. Everytrain now stops near the final tunnel, which is right after the signal. It stops regardless of the signal being red or green.


When in the park a few weeks ago I asked why this change was made to the operating procedure.

Reason: Not all operators can see all colors, and could not tell if the signal was red or green.

So now every train makes a brief stop.

well kinda lavendar, but your mind can play tricks on you if you see the same thing over an over 8 hours a day, so they do this for safety. but then again sometimes people are color blind, but really its a safety thing for the the passengers and for the cm's...

think about it. its a safety thing really. they just want to make sure the cm's see what the light really is ahead of them...

Yeah, we asked that question when we were there a few weeks ago. She said: they had people trained when they ran a single train but when they had two trains, those people would never stop at the light (which it typically only does when there are 2 trains) which would cause collisions or backups, so now they train them to stop every time. Or something like that.....She was surprised that we noticed and even asked. lol

That actually makes a lot more sense. I'm surprised that she was surprised that you noticed because if you've been on the train a few times you notice if it does something different. Thanks for asking!
