Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

Your room is very charming! Loving that you can play video games there!

Can't wait to hear more, when you have time of course. Some of us have our priorities straight today. ;)

I bet that is exactly what John did was sit up all nite playing games (video ones I mean):rotfl2:

Sorry to hear part of your trip was a bust. Waiting to hear about the rest of it.:)

I was super disappointed in the way the whole thing was handled. It definitely wasn't what they made it out to be.

Sorry to hear your weekend event was not what ya'll expected!?! But, happy to hear that ya'll have a great weekend enjoying one another's company...Danny and I need to plan one of those soon...we have not had one since Ashton was born...
:wave2:Connie
can't wait to see the photos...Danny wants to go to Hot Springs to try out the mineral baths for his skin...

Ya'll should definitely go to Hot Springs. If you wait until Spring, Magic Springs will be open and you can go to the theme park and water park (all on one ticket).

So far what a trip. You will have to ban Taco Bell like Austin did when they quit serving his fav food. At least he never had to argue about money with them. Good pix so far. You are actually closer to Hot Springs than we are. It takes right at 6 hours for us.

My brother will be in Monroe Wed. thru Sunday. Something to do with the Shrine and the secret order.

Where's your brother staying while in Monroe?

Looks like a nice weekend getaway, if nothing else. So thats the positive. It sounds like just aboput anyone could be in the contest. I wonder if they just announced it on the radio or gave away entries or something.

John and I figured it became so popular that they started, basically, just giving out spots. I am sure all of the hotels and restaurants were lovin' it. I didn't think that was fair because I had to write an essay and wait to see if I had been chosen.

I'm so glad you thought to count out your money before you left Taco Bell! good for you for standing your ground until they made your change correct. They should have just reimbursed you altogether and given you your meal for free for all of the trouble. I LOVE Taco Bell, by the way! They closed down our local one here where I work and I've been bummed ever since. At least I still have one in the town where I live. :yay:

I love Taco Bell and it's pretty cheap too. The girl made me mad because she was acting like I was the one who couldn't count. She probably thought she'd count out her drawer that evening and have an extra $20.00 in her pocket.

I think that is the same bedspread they had in 1961. Nothing has really changed about the entrance tho. Ready for more when you have time. Darn that work

John and I laughed about the fact that almost every hotel you stay in has magnolias in it....bedspreads with them and pictures of them on the wall. Magnolia stuff must be cheap.

I know that Hunter would have loved the video games.

My priorities are always straight.....try to dis at all times even while at work.:thumbsup2

After he played games.....he slept and SNORED!!!!!!! I bet I didn't get three hours of sleep that first night. Drove me absolutely nuts!

You got that right

That is the correct way to work

Don and I have a hard time in Hotels too. We go to bed at the same time and he snores. At home I go to bed after he has been sleeping awhile so I catch him in between the cycle.

Sorry the dash didn't work the way you expected. The hotel sounds interesting though. I've had a similar experience with snooty types. We went to a restaurant here in BG a few years ago on the spur of the moment. I was in khaki's and a polo and Joe was in a polo and some nice jeans. We get to the door, the host looks us up and down and tells us we aren't dressed nice enough to eat in the restaurant but we can eat in the bar. :scared1: Needless to say we didn't eat there. My money spends like everyone else's.

Yay for a couple's weekend.:cool1: We also had a weekend without the kids. So nice every now and then. I have to admit though that I'm quite boring without them.

Glad to know that we aren't the only couple who does that. Sometimes, John starts out watching television in the living room and falls asleep on the couch or in the recliner. He's so hard to wake up that I just throw a blanket over him and leave him there.

I can't stand it when people act uppity. I am like you.....my money spends just like everybody else's does. I have always taught my kids to respect authority and their elders but that doesn't mean they are any better than they are.

It was nice to get away for a while but I missed Hunter like crazy and I think it made us miss Lacey even more too. Hot Springs is somewhere we took them at least twice a year.

That is one of Don's biggest pet peeves. Hin in his jeans and flannel shirt he wears as a jacket. I often tell him to change to a diff jacket. He won't do it. He says he comfortable. I have learned to just let him be Don. I think he does it sometimes just to see who will give him a hard time.

My DH will only wear white T-Shirts. I buy him other T-Shirts and polos and make him wear them when we go out. He doesn't mind it, but if I didn't pick out his clothes, guess what he'd be wearing???? A white T-shirt! And a flannel shirt as a jacket, just like Don, Ginny!

John's favorite color t-shirt is gray. He would wear gray all the time if I'd let him. Flannel shirts are his dad's favorite. You know what he calls flannel shirts? His "outing" shirt. :confused3

Men. can't live with them can't live with them. I know it is supposed to without but sometimes (not everyday, just once in a while) I could.

The girls call Don's his 'going out' shirt. My lovely redneck husband.

Get this. when the girls were in middle school and high school we'd go to the mall. Now back then Don only wore cowboy boots out so here he is in a tshirt, the going out shirt, blue jeans, white tube socks (tops don't match) and cowboy boots. He would grab one of the girls and wrap his arm around her so she couldn't get away. They would tell him to quit. "what if a friend saw them?" To add to the fire he would then roll up one pant leg so the top of the tube sock would show till they complained, then he'd roll up the other. I think if they could have melted away somewhere they would have. He was so naughty. He has such a dry wit that you never expect some of the things he does pop out.

I LOVE IT! :lmao:

What a bummer that the trip turned out to not be what you thought it'd be!! I'm glad the two of you made the best of it. The hotel does look nice, though, snooty people or not. :snooty:

Are you all planned for Branson? I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week....

I'm sorry your trip didn't turn out good :sad1:. I have to throw my vote in too. I can't stomach snooty people. Even if they have more money than I, that doesn't make them better than me. I can get along with anybody, I love people, I just don't like people who don't like people. Does that make sense? I hope you are having a good week at work. We are having our Thanksgiving lunch at work tomorrow and I am baking some brownies. I sure hope there are some left when I leave for work in the morning.......:lmao:.

I'm so behind again.:sad2:

Anyway......Great DHS update!! Sorry that Lacey was still not feeling good. Wow!! It sounds so HOT!! (kinda like our AK day) I remember making the mad dash from Backlot Tours to Lights, Motor Action too!! We had missed it the year before because it was filled and we didn't want to miss it again--the boys love it!!!

Oh no!! Sorry about your weekend. 700 people--that's crazy. But at least you had a couple's weekend and your pictures are beautiful. I can't wait to hear more!!

Almost forgot...thanks for the website!! So many cute things to make!! I know what we are doing this weekend!! (if I can talk the boys into it);)

The hotel looks nice from the outside. Wait until you see more inside pictures.

We have our Branson trip planned with the exception of where we are staying Saturday night. I got a vacation book in from Branson a day or two ago and meant to bring it with me to work. I'll find somewhere to stay that last night, I am sure.

You made perfect sense to me.

I hope you have fun at your Thanksgiving party. Since it's just the boss and I, we won't be having a Thanksgiving party. There are perks of working someplace small and then then are things that you wish there were enough people to do.....like parties. Eat a brownie for me!

Oh it wasn't 700 people it was 700 COUPLES! I have pictures that I will post of the crowds.

Are there going to be 4 or 5, one room or 2?
