Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

All caught up now. That is a bummer Hunter is not a huge fan of SM but congrats on him being brave enough to go. Love his shirt. :thumbsup2

The boss should be back from lunch any minute and I need to have a document typed up for a client who is coming in at 2:00 p.m. but I had to let ya'll know that Hunter made a 110, yes 110, on his Ten Commandments!

I have very much enjoyed reading through this thread, what with your wonderful trip report and all of the friendly people who've been commenting all along.

Thanks a bunch for joining in and commenting! We love to chat don't we.

I was thinking you hadn't seen me in your trip for a while and I wanted to let you know I was still there. I know you are saying 'would you just crawl back in your suitcase and let us enjoy our family time?' You know the answer so I won't bother giving you one.

I would have never told you to crawl back in the suitcase!

He was able to suck it up and go on the ride. Thank goodness 'cause he was going whether he wanted to or not. I'm a mean Mama!

Major high 5's to Hunter. Well deserved.

Way to go, Hunter! :dance3::yay::woohoo:

I'll tell him that you both said congrats! He was really proud.

A long time ago, when Hunter was little, he asked me how much I loved him. I told him as much as a hog's butt. He asked me why I said that and I told him that ham was one of my favorite foods and ham comes from a hog's butt. Thus....I love him as much as a hog's butt. We say that all the time now. And you already thought we were nuts, I just confirmed it.:lmao:

I'm about to start writing my next installment but first wanted to mention that I won tickets to the Taste of the Twin Cities thingamabob that they are having at the Monroe Civic Center. The local restaurants are going to be set up and have tastings. Guess I won't have to wonder what we are eating Saturday night.

Why weren't you my mama. Then Hunter would be my baby brother. What fun. And Lacey could be my little sis. This is getting better all the time. I like the way you think.

Hog's butt! Too funny! Mitchell asked me that same question this morning, but I didn't come up with anything quite so clever. :goodvibes

Congrats to Hunter for doing so well on his Ten Commandments project.

Way to go!!!!!! :yay:

This installment is going to start out with a lot of talking and few pictures. Why? 'Cause of my stupid, frim-fram, idiotic, fartheaded camera! That's why! I took pictures from the minute we got to Hollywood Studios. Imagine that.:rolleyes1 Then, when we were sitting in the Indiana Jones theater (later in the day), my camera started acting up and ziiiiiiiiip, no pictures. Frickin' frackin' blankety blank! Okay, rant over.....let's get this trip report going again.....sans a lot of pictures.

As you will recall, John, Hunter and I didn't leave the Magic Kingdom until 2:00 a.m. When we got to the room, I made a request for an 7:30 a.m. wake-up call. Hollywood Studios was opening at 9:00 a.m. I knew we'd be moving slow the next morning and may not make it there for opening but I also knew that we had to get some sleep. Believe you me, when the phone rang at 7:30 a.m., it was all I could do to drag my behind up and start the morning prodding and poking to wake everybody up.

Like every other day, the family started eating from our Garden Grocer order while I hopped in the shower. Surprisingly, everybody was wide awake and bushy tailed when I got out. Funny what a mere 5 1/2 hours of sleep will do for you while at Disney. Must be the Disney air.;)

A little before 9:00 a.m., we were all ready to take our short walk down to the Old Port Royale bus stop. John forgot his sunglasses and had to go back in the room. While we waited for him, I took pictures. This is my window decoration I made. Not much but still a decoration.

John came out about this time and we were on our way to the bus stop. Lucky for us, a bus pulled up just a few minutes after we got there and we were off. For anyone wondering how long it takes to get from the CBR to Hollywood Studios, I'll tell you.....just 12 minutes....and that's with us making stops at the other CBR bus stops. Not too bad in my opinion.

I had to go through the security line since I had a bag. The others waited for me over to the side. It didn't take me long and we were ready to hit the turnstiles.

First up on our list of things to do was Toy Story Mania. I had heard horror stories of how long the lines were first thing in the morning so I told the others that I'd run and get us Fastpasses while they waited for me in the stores on the main street. Hunter wanted to go too. So, we hotfooted it over to Toy Story Mania and the Fastpass line was long. When I say long, I mean looooooooooong. I made an executive/mama decision to wait a little while and go back for Fastpasses. I knew that we'd be in the park all day long so it didn't really matter what the return time was.

While Hunter and I walked back to the main street (what is the real name anyway?) to find John and Hunter, we saw a camera crew out talking to guests about the new American Idol attraction. They had some kids doing impromptu dances and filming them. Hunter loves to dance. Loves it! We stood around a little while to see if they might possibly come over to us and ask Hunter to bust a move or two but they never did. We figured we would be missed soon so we continued on.

We started with the first store and no John or Lacey. We went in the second store and no John or Lacey. We called them and they were outside on the street people watching.

I told them about the Fastpass line and they felt my executive decision was a good one. We decided to ride Star Tours first since it's a family favorite. When we got there, we saw that a small crowd had gathered to start the Jedi Training Academy. I asked Hunter if he wanted to wait and he said no. Good. I didn't want to tell him that I was glad but I was because it was already getting hot outside and it was still early.

Anyway, we hopped in the 10 minute standby line of Star Tours and were soon jerking and jostling through space courtesy of a newly trained robot pilot. Did you know that the robot used to be voiced by Pee Wee Herman? He still sounds like him to me.

We looked around in the Star Tours store for a while. Didn't see too much that we had to have except for one little something that Hunter wanted. I can't remember for the life of me what it was he bought. It might have been a lightsaber keyring but I can't be sure.

Up next on our list of "we gotta do" things was Muppet Vision 3D. We were stopped at the turnstiles and both Lacey and I took a few pictures. Where are mine? In thin air I guess. We were admitted into the preshow area and were told to go all the way down. I took even more pictures. They have some really cute writings on the sides of the trunks. Pictures you ask? Floating out there somewhere in outer space. :headache:

We were very near the front of the preshow area and close to the doors. We decided we better let a lot of people go in front of us or we'd be way down on the end of the aisle once we were told to go into the theater. I'm glad we made this decision because we were seated very close to the middle and on the second row. We've never been so close to the front. The seats were very good. We could see the orchestra and the big furry guy (I forget his name.) who comes out looking for Beans the Bunny.

I know that you're going to be surprised as heck by what I am about to say. Are you ready? Sure you're ready? John fell asleep. Did I hear a collective loud gasp? :rotfl2: He did open his eyes when I nudged him so he could see his favorite part of the show....when Miss Piggy kicks Beans. He thinks that is so funny. When the show was over, I nudged John again to wake him up.

We went into the Muppet store to have a look around. Lacey was looking mighty pale and when I asked what was wrong, she said she was having major cramps. Poor baby. John came over and I told him to go over to the cash register and ask if they had Tylenol behind the counter. The first guy said he didn't know to ask at the other register. The lady said "of course" and pulled out an entire tray of Tylenol and other similar medications. John and I bought two packages of Tylenol (with two in each package) for $1.75. Normally, I have Tylenol in the backpack but for some reason, I didn't have them in the backpack today.

We went over to Toy Story Pizza Planet. It was just opening up and we were able to beat most of the crowds. I took pictures of our food but, guess where they are? Yep.....gone. Lacey and Hunter ordered cheese pizzas and chocolate chip cookies. Oh and I asked if we could substitute chips for the salads on the cheese pizza combos and they said sure. John ordered the supreme pizza, salad and rice crispy treat. I ordered pepperoni pizza, salad and rice crispy treat. We each had Cokes.

Lacey took her Tylenol but I could tell that she was feeling pretty bad. She wanted to stick it out for a while though and see if the Tylenol kicked in.

****Interruption. Sorry, gotta stop here. Boss needs copies.

So sorry your pics got lost, Lisa. What a bummer. Poor little Lacey. Mother nature and Disney - not a good mix. I feel her pain! There's nothing worse.

I hope that the Tylenol kicks in and that she had a good day after all. Can't wait to hear more! :goodvibes

sorry to hear about Lacey; Gwendolyn had the same problem when we went :(
cute sign for your window!! :upsidedow
sorry to hear you lost your pictures! hope those were some of the only ones missing...
:wave2:

Lisa,

The lines for Toy Story Mania are always long but the ride with a fastpass is well worth it. If you all have a Wii then you need to get the Toy Story Mania game, it's a blast and you can practice for the real thing all year long. I bought it for my wife's birthday recently (she asked for it). I'll definately be contacting you if we need Hunter's A+++ :thumbsup2 project it appears it will be an easy A.:yay:

Thanks, Brian

Lisa, great pics of the CBR.

We did Toy Story in September. Although it said an hour wait, it was about 50 minutes. They were out of fast passes...as we got to the Studios at 1:00 in the afternoon and decided to wait in the line. So glad we did...what an awesome ride (it is similar to Men in Black at Univeral).

LOVE the CBR pics...I can't wait for June!! :goodvibes

Sweetums!! The big hairy guy that comes out looking for the bunny is Sweetums. And yes, I just showed off my Muppet-nerdiness...but I loved that show as a kid!! We have two of the seasons on DVD now, and my 5-year-old DS loves them, too. He's a huge fan of physical comedy, though.

I liked your DIS sign - I might have to make something for our window in June. It's just the four of us (DSIL and I and our DH's) out of 16 that are on the boards, so we'd only need two. Something else for the Disney list! That's got to be the only list that I actually get excited about when it gets longer! :rotfl2:

Great update - hope you got to ride Toy Story Mania (it really is fun) and that Lacey got a break from Mother Nature!!

Your pictures of CBR really make me want to stay there. I wish Disney would hurry up and release the AP rates for May. On the passholder site it still has the fall offer :sad2:. I'm sorry you lost your pictures, I keep thinking about getting a better camera, but I don't know that a more expensive camera would necessarily be any better for me. In my case I think it is the person holding the camera and not the camera :rotfl2:.

All caught up. I hope Lcey gets to feeling better.
I never knew about those little statues in front of the castle either til lright before my last trip. I read it in someones TR so I took pics too. LOL!

:woohoo: for Hunter's A++!!! He deserved it. :thumbsup2
I love your window decal! That was really cool. Your photos make me miss CBR. We may take a big extended family trip next fall & I am going to do my best to push everyone in that direction. :rolleyes1 Someone suggested a suite, but I think it may be a little TOO much togetherness.

All caught up again!!:goodvibes

Love all your castle pics!! Beautiful!!!:cloud9: I try and get a picture every time the castle changes colors too. I have never seen those statues. :confused3 I will be on the look out for them next visit....how cute are they!!!:)

Great pictures of CBR!!--and your window was decorated so cute! I think I will do that next time.;)

Yay!!:yay: on Hunter's good grade!!!!Congrats Hunter!!

Sorry..you lost your pics and that Lacey wasn't feeling well.:sad2: I hope she starts feeling better soon!!
