This question is actually one of our interview questions. Our office is skewed a bit toward Stones. :hippie:

We may have to stop asking this in interviews. One of our recent interviewees was a 22y.o. - she just kinda gave us a blank look, and said something like "Mom and dad didn't listen to either mumblemumble..."

So, now I pose this earth-shattering question to you...

It's been quite a few years since the Beatles did their thing together, but their music endures. My vote is for the Beatles. Lips McGee and the Stones are still around, and I do admire their ability to carry on throughout the years.

:rotfl2: Gee I feel old today!

:hippie: Beatles for me!

:woohoo: As you know, Bon Jovi is my music of choice........but between the Beatles and Stones.....definately the Stones.......and my 20 & 22 year old DD's would agree with me!!!

Stones  I can't get no satisfaction from the Beatles :teeth:

I forgot to vote - I'm Beatles-centric.

But, as I get older (and more cynical), "Lips McGee" & Crew grow on me 'with every new day'.

Gee I feel old today!
Yep, it made me feel old too.

What really makes me feel old is that U2's "Joshua Tree" is 20 years old now. Eeek :scared1:

Sorry, complete and total WHO fan here!!!!!

No need to apologize... They've created more than their share of classics!

The Who...hands down.

In my experience, well-meaning people who ask "Beatles or the Stones" and just think of those two groups have, almost without exception, never seen The Who live.

Led Zep fans could make an arguable case as well.....

Back in the dinosaur days (sadly, I remember) when they were both starting out, there was the Stones camp and the Beatles camp of fans. The R&B'ers loved the Stones and Jazz'ers loved the Beatles. Me? Stones all the way! :rockband:

Finishing #4 on a Letterman top-10 list for naming the Rolling Stones tour;

"The Rolling Stones live plus Keith Richards!"

What a great interview question. It could tell you a lot. I'm a Beatles guy. But a sub-question - if you choose Beatles - the next question is John or Paul?

:lmao: God bless em! They can still hobble on stage and give it a go!

As I was born just before the stabbings at Altamonte ('Gimme Shelter'), and by the time I was kicking around, John Lennon and Yoko Ono had started to do their thing (Beatles were virtually broken up already), I've not seen any of these bands live.

My 7 yr old DD is a huge Beatles fan and when we were at ASMu she got a real kick out of seeing some of their pictures. We had to take pictures of the pictures so she could show her friend at school who is a HUGE fan according to my DD. I am not exactly of the Beatle generation but have always enjoyed them. I know my DD and her friend know more of their "trivia" than I ever will.

Soooo true. I do an hour and a half straight out at the gym and I'm virtually wiped. These guys go two hours plus and they've got more than a decade on me. Must be that clean living of theirs! :rotfl:

BTW eclectics, your recent moral support elsewhere on the boards, while by no means necessary, was certainly noted and appreciated! Thanks again, and I'll try to return the favor if and when the opportunity arises!
