How long does a stomach virus usually last??

What's the difference between that and Rotovirus?

My oldest had a stomach bug but now the baby's had a stomach bug on and off for a week now. He's not dehydrated, but he's barely keeping anything in. I've been giving him some formula and then some pedialyte, but I thought by now (a week) it should have run it's course. I called the Doctor and they mentioned Primadophilus (cultures) which I will get tonight. The Doctor also said if he's not better by tomorrow to bring him in, however I don't really know if there is anything they can do at this point that i'm not trying.

Thank goodness he's still drinking fluids, but I just wish I knew how to help my little boy get better.

I saw on the DIS that Rotovirus usually lasts 3-10 days. It could be that: your oldest had it for 3, your youngest for longer. My nephew had it for 2 weeks, and it was an on and off kind of thing. I hope your Dr. will be able to help.

Poor little guy! :grouphug: Hope he is feeling better soon.

Poor you, too for having to change all those diapers. ;)

When the girls were babies, DH stayed home with them one day when they had stomach bugs. He still remembers that he changed 28 diapers while I was at work!
