Last year DD3 and DD4 used a double stroller.... This year they will be 4 and 5, I will definitely be using a double again this NYE trip. It gets especially hard when the evening sets in and it's time to get on the monorail with the little one beginning to dose off.

When we took our first trip dd (turned 7 there) walked everyplace but EP. When I went back in june dd (8) rode a lot more in the stroller because daddy wasn't there and it was just easier to keep track of 2 girls that way. She is pretty tall so when we go in Sept. (a week before she is 9) I bet she walks the whole time.

My 4 yo dd will probably ride most of the time. She is a turtle and sometimes just wants to take a break from Disney. I am trying to decide whether or not to spend $100 on a Maclaren stroller that is going to be bigger and more comfy than the one we have (combi). I will probably spend almost that much renting a stroller. I just hate to buy a stroller that we won't use much. She is sooooo slow that I bet for the next year anyway I would use it at the mall or zoo or places where there is a lot of walking. Anybody have an answer for me? I hate making decisions about things like this.

On out last trip DS was 2 1/2 and DD was 7 yrs old. DS spent time in our stroller as his little legs can only go so fast or for so long. :)
And DD did take a break from walking once in a while when DS wanted to stretch his legs and venture around.

This trip DS will be 4 and DD almost 9. We will be bringing our stroller along and expect that he will ride for a bit but also walk. And like others have said it's till great for holding things, like our drink cooler and stuff.
And I suppose if DD is tired enough of walking she'll convince herself to sit for a while and enjoy the free ride. :teeth: :thumbsup2
But she is at the age where she can hoof it around just as well as us. :teeth:

mytwotinks We thought of getting a new stroller too. Like you, one more comfortable with maybe a bigger backet for hauling stuff. But we don't even use our current one that often any more. DS prefers to walk in the malls and at the zoo we use our wagon to haul the kids and cooler. :teeth:

It just doesn't seem worth the $$ to me. Especially since I know I won't get hardly any of it back if I then garage sale it or sell at the local childrens resale shop.

Wow, when I was 5 and too tired to walk anymore, my mother told me to "suck it up - you're a big girl and you can walk!" No stroller for me.

Of course, it was the late 70s and there really wasn't as much to see...

on our April trip ds5 got a stroller...and will again more than likely next year..but I think 7 is pushing it.

The last time we went my DS was 5 and we didn't get a stroller and he did fine. It was Easter, very crowded and open very late and we stayed opening to closing. He was the youngest and had to keep up with a 12 yr old and a college aged plus Mom and Dad. They have as much energy as anyone in fact he still had energy to play at TSI or any playground we came to. Once you don't take a stroller you will be so pleasantly surprised how easy it is to get around in the crowds and how much less stuff you really do need to bring. Plus there is no way I'm going to push a stroller for a child not a baby around all day in the heat.

My way of thinking is don't even bring it up, and they won't want one because I know of no other place that 5 and 6 yr olds are in strollers so they won't be thinking of it.
