Just wanted to give everybody a heads up that strollers do get stolen at Disneyland. We just got back for a 13 day Disney Vacation.
On 6/5 we went on pirates it was a walk on so by the time we came back out my Great Nieces stroller was gone. By this time fantasmic was going so it was dark. At first we thought the cm's had moved it but we looked all over for it. They called security he came over searched for another 15 mins. by this time my Niece was in tears. We had another 8 days of vacation and no stroller plus everything that was on it was now gone.
Security escorted us up to lost and found to make a report. Then they took us in the back stage to make a police report with the Anaheim PD. They said it does happen that people take strollers go through them looking for stuff of value.
My sister took the baby back to the hojo since we had nothing for her at the park it was all on the stroller. My niece and I continued to search the park hoping somebody ditched it. We had given hope and just sat down at the hub it was around 11:45 PM when Disney called and said they found it. Security from down town Disney called it in and it matched the description we had given them.
She has a expensive Bob stroller with attachments so we thought for sure it was gone. Plus she collects Disney pins for her daughter and puts them on the stroller hood. It had other things of value on it but I guess the criminal was a real idiot. All they took was a 15.99 empty camera case and a 9.99 extra cheap battery from ebay in it.
For the record we cover the stroller whenever its left so nobody can see anything plus put the lock on it to prevent it from rolling. The next day we went and got a bike lock and lock the wheels with that. Never in a million years did I think this could happen. I've gone to Disney for years and never had a problem or heard of anybody getting a stroller stolen.
