:confused3 :confused3 or what!
I am searching on the disney shopping sites - and E-Bay for big bean bag chairs (we have a cute Pooh one - and I thought I remembered seeing a Sully one)
and in my search people are E-baying chairs from The Poly Resort, and from Chef Mickeys (high chairs) :confused3

People buy stuff from Disney's "Property Control" places and then resell it on Ebay all the time. I doubt that the person who listed the Monorail car stole that :rotfl2: The stuff is usually from resort refurbishments and the like.

"MOUSE SURPLUS" is a major reseller. I assume they buy from Property Control and sell it on eBay. It's a great way to pick up some great memorabilia.

And it's 100% legal...now what anyone would do with one of the headboards from the old Contempory Resort beds, I have no idea, but hey...to each his own. ::MickeyMo

Actually, the stuff Mouse Surplus has never even makes it to Property Control. What used to be available for Cast Members to buy is now sold exclusively to this guy and he resells it. :( It makes many WDW CMs very unhappy.

I can certainly understand that frustration. But for those of us with no access to PC... well, I'll take what I can get. Now once I start working down there, I'll probably change my mind. ;)

Actually, I snuck the headboard and a couple of sofas out last time we were there.......

:rotfl2:

I'm going back for the light fixtures and some end tables tonight!!!

Would WDW CM's really want what he sells, though :confused3 It seems like he sells weird stuff like signs from conventions, old outdated furniture from resorts, etc. Occasionally I see something in the Mouse Surplus auctions that looks cool, but for the most part I wonder if a lot of that stuff ends up in a dumpster somewhere (because I see so much stuff up with no bids).

Hey -- we did the same thing, too! Walked out of Chef Mickey's w/chairs to seat 12 and a table to go with. Not one person stopped us!!!! Hey, it's a buffet, right?!

ETA -- what is this person's user name? I'd be interested to check some of the stuff out! Thanks!

Property Control is so cool! They also sell stuff left behind by people. Strollers are everywhere....LOL! Just hope the kids weren't in them.

My son bought 11 pairs of lost sunglasses for $11 when we visited Property Control this past summer. And that Snow White ride car that is on the Mouse Surplus website was sitting at PC when we visited. And it was in pretty ragged condition. I believe that they wanted $1500 for it. A bit pricey for my tastes.

While my son was buying sunglasses, I found a second generation Pal Mickey that was in excellent condition and was mine for the incredibly low price of $15. I would never make it as a CM because I would spend every dollar at PC.

I thought that you had to be a CM to go to property control. I need to find a time to go there with my friend, because I'd love to get some bargain sunglasses and umbrellas

You have to be a CM or go there with a CM. And unless you get there early, the umbrella lady (who was there the day we visited) will have purchased all of the good umbrellas.

You would have to go with a CM if you are not a CM.
