It doesnt have to be empty. :) If someone won't fill it - you do it!:thumbsup2

I havent had a stuffed stocking since I was kid. The only thing i remember from it was a beanie baby...:lmao:
but i would love to get one...

Santa brings us roasted peanuts in the shell(takes up a lot of space in the stocking), clementines, apples, bananas and kiwis. He puts a few candies in there, maybe a toothbrush or some earrings, movie tickets, a starbucks gift card, that kind of thing. Sometimes he leaves things sitting on the fireplace if he can't get it into the stocking. Maybe a CD or some cute undies or a mug.

I never thought about putting kiwis in a stocking. My DS, 5, loves kiwis. I will put some in his stocking. I am putting a can of Axe in his stocking. DH had some and DS used it all so that he could smell like daddy. He will get his own can. I am sure the can will be empty by the day after Christmas and DS will be quite smelly!

Whatever fits -- if the "big present" fits it goes right in, like the year he got a cell phone. Things that don't fit lean up against the wall behind it. I put one gift under the tree from me, and of course he has gifts from Grandma, uncle, godmother etc . . .

This year my 10 year old is getting the following in his stocking:

A couple of books, and a couple of audiobooks (Santa will "steal" his IPOD and rewrap it with a new playlist), snap on vampire teeth (he really wanted these at halloween, but his canines were still growing in), some little lights you put on your finger tips, gloves, batteries, junk food of some kind, maybe a new shirt, and a small wonder camcorder.

think practical things that you'd buy anyway:
toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss
deodorant or perfume
chapstick or lipgloss
nailpolish or nail clippers
mittens or gloves
pens, pencils, mini notepads, crayons
gum, m&ms, lifesavers
a wallet or coin purse
brush or comb, ponytail holders, barrettes or hairclips
yo-yo or hackey sack
silly putty
pokemon cards or baseball cards or a deck of cards
matchbox cars
earrings
fuzzy socks or novelty socks
small one pot size pack of coffee beans
rain-x for the car windshield
airfreshners for the car
small candles
tide pen
eyeglass repair kit
cellphone case or hard cover
lottery scratch tickets
paperback book
crossword or soduku puzzle book
key chains
pocket tape measure
bubble bath

OMG, Axe:lmao: I remember when my boys went through that stage. My whole house smelled like Axe for several years.

I forgot to say that we put some of our presents on the tree. Little things like gift cards, jewelry, cash, and candy boxes get wrapped and stuck inside the tree branches. Half the fun of Christmas morning is rifling the tree for gifties.:goodvibes

We always do candy and those candy filled plastic candy cane things. This year the kids will get some gift cards, batteries, DD wants an eyelash curler, what ever fun little things I find when I go stocking stuffer shopping, but mostly gift cards. I was thinking about putting lottery tickets in their stockings but I am not sure I want to promote that yet--but I might do some scratch offs for all the adults anyway.
