STOCKING stuffers for DD1

Gosh, now I feel awful. I took dd trick or treating when she was three month old.(hubby at the candy) Never filled their socks at that young of an age though. I guess I never really thought about it! Tink

My 17 month old is getting a cute Elmo toy phone - I had to get it because she said "Elmo" and pointed it to it at the grocery. I also got her some Disney Saf- T- pops - I should probably do the toothbrush thing, too, eh? Anyway, the suckers are only for while she's in her high chair and it will probably take her over a year to eat them! I love Christmas!

I got my almost 6 month old that same phone for her stocking! (She will just be turning 7 months on Christmas!)

Part of the enjoyment of being a new parent is splurging on your first baby, filling their stocking is more for the parent's fun than the child, but it is an easy way to give small gifts. It's also a way for new parents to start their own traditions.

This year the baby in my family is my fifth and I still will fill his stocking because all of my other kids would not understand why Santa would fill theirs and not his, they would think that wasn't fair and would actually be quite upset. I have always done this with my kids. I don't spend alot and I usually try to get them things they need, like someone's suggestion of sippy cups and snacks.

Nicely put!
