I went through my stocking stuffer items and don't have anything but candy for my DS10!

He has an ipod and we have a PS3 so I'm thinking of getting an itunes GC and PS network GC.

Any tips on what to get are greatly appreciated!

I have a 9 year old son and he is getting an iTunes gift card, a football magazine about the NFL (it's some kind of special edition - 50 greatest players - he played for the first time this Fall and is loving all things football), and some male body spray from Bath and Body Works (it's a light scent...he likes to sneak Daddy's cologne).

put a whoopie cushion in there - he'll love it!! there are nerf guns for $5 with a bulls eye at Target... (its small enough to fit in the stocking ) Duct tape and a book on 101 things you can do with duct tape - or directions to make a wallet... (DS started making wallets at 10 with duct tape!)

My DS9 is getting some of those little Lego packs (yours may have outgrown them by now), some extra styluses for his Nintendo DS, a joke book, a couple of new magic tricks to add to his collection, and a new battery-operated toothbrush.

I got my ten year old some Packers earbuds, a card trick book, a math dice game, logic puzzle magazine, lots of skittles, and a headlamp flashlight.

My son who turned 11 today is getting a reindeer hexbug, some mario/yoshi gloves and mittens, and the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid book in his as well as usual chocolate santa and a couple of other little items.

Some of the things I put in stockings:
toothbrush & toothpaste
Gloves
pens/pencils/erasers/ postitnotes
small toys (silly puttY or a slinky even though it seems 'young')
candy (always a lifesavers book and plastic candycane of hershey kisses)
gum
pez dispenser
fun socks
Some little thing from a favorite sports team (key chain, maybe?)
one of those animal hats
a plastic waterbottle or travel mug

A magazine, paperback book or comic book

If you have a World Market near you, they have a lot of silly little things like spy glasses, whoopie cushions and pens with invisible ink. I also got my son some NFL player stickers with a book, a small lego pack, a lego minifig pack and some mini toiletries (always good for a Disney trip).

There's some really good ideas on this thread, but I have to stop shopping for Christmas or we won't be able to afford our next Disney vacation. ;)

I second World Market. they have a lot of neat things- trinkets and candies.

I alos agree that I have to stop shopping for Christmas. I said that yesterday and bought a couple more things today. No more shopping!

He's between my boys but some ideas I use:

Practical stuff- tooth brushes , floss (a request of my 5 yr old), body wash, toothpaste, socks, underwear etc.

non-candy snacks or favorite food treats

gift cards- mine are getting disney cards for out after Christmas trip plus the older one getting itunes.

Nerf guns
flash lights
money ($'s for big one, roll of quarters for little one)- mall rides and games and bubble gum machine.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I will make a trip to Old Navy tomorrow for some boxers, socks and maybe a T-shirt.

I'd love to try a pair of those tech gloves for myself. I tried on Old Navy's but they weren't great and I bet Isotoner makes nice ones. That gives me an idea for DH's stocking.

I know this sounds weird, but I just remembered all the fun my brother had at that age with a can of Cheez Whiz! No kidding, he thought it was the best thing in his stocking, and the fact that my normally very proper Mom let him squirt it directly into his mouth as much as he wanted added to the excitement!

LOL, who'da thunk? I think that sounds like a great idea! I think my 7 yo would also like that.

Love the Duct tape idea! They make some really cool prints too- I think DD 11 would enjoy some.

My 10 y/o DS's stocking stuffers include:

small Lego (one of the $9.99)
a Vinylmation
R2D2 light up spinny toy from Disneyland (might be too juvelnile but I found it in my closet hidden from 2 years ago :rotfl2:)
iTunes gift card
candy
orange
fake tattoos
Starbuck's gift card (they love their Vanilla Fraps)

Along with the "required" lifesaver book of candy, my ds9 and ds10 are getting WDW luggage tags for next trip, small bouncy balls, movie and iTunes cards.
