I'm in need of some stocking stuffer ideas for my twin DD's age 8. I'm pretty much done with all my shopping except for these items!!

What do all of you put in your stockings? Any cute ideas...doesn't necessarily have to be disney, but we are ALL obsessed with the Mouse!! (Off the topic - just re-did DD's bathroom to Mickey - they love it!!)

I know my mom would put fruit and nuts in my stocking and that always made me mad! ha ha!!

Do you guys have any traditions with your stockings?

Any ideas would be appreciated!!

Merry Christmas to all!! :worship: ::MickeyMo

So far I have a pocket sized jigsaw puzzle, a small felt coloring set, a small craft kit (to make a glitter picture) , a package of markers, a cute santa with candy inside, and a small sticker book.
I am going shopping, my last trip I hope, I am going to try and find some cute slipper socks and maybe I can get a couple more things inside the stockings. I wrap the stocking stuffers. If the kids are up before us they can open those up to keep busy.

I always put the character spin toothbrushes in my kids' stockings (it's the only time of year they get them so they're a treat), also bubble bath. I also got her a keychain Simon game. In the past I've given them decorative art supplies like stickers, post-its, gel pens, glitter glue, unusual things besides the same old crayons and markers. This year we're leaning toward a Disney theme since we're taking a Christmas trip so I also got Disney chapstick, notepads and pencils, and bandanas. DD's getting new gloves in her stocking, too. And I usually put in a little bit of candy, but my kids don't have too much of a sweet tooth. (They don't get that from me :mickeybar LOL).

I go to the Dollar store and buy some hair ties and barrettes. DD can always use them, she is forever losing them. Most of my stocking stuffers come from there. Just little odds and ends.

Lotions, Body Glitter, playing cards, markers, hair ties, Polly Pockets, Mini Disney Snowglobe, a nice Disney ornament,Stickers, Disney watch, a new DVD, Christmas Pez, Disney panties, scarf/mittens, Princess mini play sets(like Polly Pockets kind of),Fun candy, a small purse.

Disneydirect is having some really good sales right now, so you might want to check there. I know I got some adorable ornaments for half off. Hope those helped some.

Chapstick is always a must for our stockings. My mom used to buy the cute kids' lipsticks from Avon for my sister and me. They have Disney Princess lip balm for 99¢ each.

Barrettes, hair clips, a new toothbrush.

Sample-size bath gels and lotions from Bath & Body Works, or Avon (Avon.com has mini sizes for 79¢ each).

Emory boards and clear nail polish (or a pretty shade of light pink).

Sugarless gum and mints.

A small craft kit.

A box of new crayons, markers or colored pencils.

Stickers.

Any small toy or puzzle.

And that's just for starters. Our stockings are almost as interesting as what's under the tree!

I usually do not buy presents specifically for their stockings, because I always find a few presents that are small enough to fit in. These include cds, dvds, games, chapstick, hairclips, hat & gloves, socks, panties, small characters from the DS, etc. My daughters are 15, 11, and 2, and I try to get fairly large sized stockings!

Wal-Mart has mini bottles of Coca-Cola with Mickey on them. They come in a 6-pack for $2.98. They're really cute and for my daughter they are a "treat" that she gets her OWN bottle of pop.

I suck at stocking stuffers, but this year for dd, I bought her a bunch of little avon stuff. (I know someone has mentioned this but I wanted to second it.!)

I bought bubble bath, the Princess chapsticks (also at Walmart for 3/$3.98 I think!) and little lotions.

Hope this helps. Oh, I'll also stick in some candies.

On the endcaps at the back of the toy aisles in Target, they have lots of cards games (some character ones too), yoyos and lots of little games/stocking stuffer type items.

Coinkc- Where at Wal-Mart are the mini cokes? There is just no way I can cover the entire store! I bought a 6 pack of 12oz coke in the bottles at the Hess station in DTD last April. I would love to get some of these since my kitchen is Disney!
I always stuff my DD-13 stocking with whatever she is into this year. Sometimes soccer stuff, sometimes surfing stuff, whatever I can find for a buck or two that is themed. Of course, we have done Disney stuff, etc as well. It changes with her age and interests!

I try to put alot of different things in each christmas, but one thing that always goes in there is a dvd that they ask for. That is usually the last thing that I put in, so every year they look forward to running downstairs to see if they will get their favorite movie. This year I am also putting Birnbaums Guide to Disney World for Kids By Kids in there with some disney money under the front cover. My three oldest are getting those and my two 5 yr olds will be getting Disney Princess coloring books with a bit of disney money also. Other than that, I usually will put hair stuff for the girls, matchboxes and beyblade tops for my son, they also like mad libs so i try to stick one of those in each as well.

Has anyone forgotten about the old standby apples and oranges stocking stuffer tradition that I grew up with? (Ha! Ha! My kiddos would have words for me!!)

Anyway, on a serious note, I try to fit those smaller "real" gift sin the stockings...and some holiday candy, with a new toothbrush and toothpaste, of course!! Unfortunately, I ALWAYS unknowingly go overboard on stockings and then end up truly stuffing them all!

Yep, the orange always goes into the toe of the stocking, LOL! ::yes::

In addition to many of the things already mentioned, I also put in some snacks that aren't sweet...like the mini Pringles can, a pack of Ritz Bits, Slim Jim meat sticks for my DS (who loves these), etc. My mom always used to put a small jar of Boysenberry jam and artichoke hearts in my stocking because I loved them...and that's what I remember the most! It was our tradition. I also try to put in things that will keep them busy for awhile so DH and I can sleep in just a little longer...like a mini craft kit, card game, trading cards (now it's Yugioh at our house), etc.

Santa always brings everbody underwear! Belive it or not, after 9 years DD actually looks forward to it in her stocking. Other than that, I usually do as others and put in some smaller gifts I got her, any type of craft stuff, winter hat and/or mittens, and usually some food such as Speciatly Hot chocolate packets, energy bars, etc.

This year I have hair ties, headbands, watercolor paints, mini nail polishes, flavored chapstick, new toothbrush and paste, a disposable camera, gum, Sees candy and candy coins. There could be more too; it's hard to remember everything! :flower1:

We have a silly stocking tradition. My DH is famous for waiting until the last minute to buy my gifts. We usually go out of town for Christmas, so we often open our gifts before Christmas Day. One year DH was running late on his shopping once again, and through sheer desperation, on his way home from work, he stopped at a convenience store to get things to fill my stocking. When I opened my gifts, the drink was still cold. :earseek: Of course, a big deal was made about how slack DH was. DS has always remembered this, but doesn't remember that I was the only one to get the drink. He thinks we both did, and we don't have the heart to tell him. ;) Anyway, ever since then DH has had to make a last minute trip to the convenience store across the street to pick up a cold bottled soda for each of us. Each year, DS(12) still gives his dad a hard time over the last minute purchase, but would be extremely disappointed without it. He never fails to ask me, if I think his dad will be slack again and get us a cold drink. ;) Sorry to ramble, but my point is, it is often the strange items that creates the memories.

Stocking stuffers for girls (so far)

BOdy and Bath bubble bath, hand wipes, antibacterial flavored soap,
shampoo and body glitter lotion.

DIsney Store - underwear, cups, accessories for their costumes (wands,
shoes etc.)

Dollar Tree - disney night lights, small disney princess figurines, coloring books

Other stores

Cinderella lip gloss, ariel bubbles, comb and brush sets, hair accessories, markers and crayons, candy

I'm still not done. It's so much easier to do girls stockings than my sons.

I also put in disney dollars.

Oh I forgot
Claire's Boutique

DIsney lotions
DIsney bubble baths
DIsney nail polish sets

We are actually going to Disney in February, so a portion of the kids gifts is simply that. SO I of course have bought gifts with the Disney theme, such as jammies, sweatshirts, lip stuff, things like that. But I was wondering what things do you let your kids bring into Disney.

We have a 5yr old DD and 7 year old DS. Any Must haves for the kids? I saw someone mention The guide to Disney for kids. Thats a good idea, but I haven't seen it to know how basic it is. My son is a pretty good reader but not sure if it is more for older children. Love the Disney Dollar idea. Anything, you absolutely get kids for their trip to the World? hmm Maybe sunglasses, that would go in a stocking!

Any suggestions
PS we also are going to Sea world on the trip, which my kids are real excited about, anything special for this park? Don't even know where to get stuff with Sea World logos.

Thanks for any help!

The Dollar Spot at Target has some great stuff right now. Including--scented socks! My DD got some from a bday party she went to and just purchased some to give to another friend of her cause she thought they were so cool! Hers were tootsie roll, but they had sugar daddy and blow pop ones too.

My kids don't get a lot in their stockings--always a new toothbrush. this year the boys are getting Hero City cars and DD is getting one of those Twist It things. They get a mini box of cereal and some snacks and they are all getting a music tape this year. They have fun finding what is in there, but I don't go all out on them.

DH used to always get the same things every year in his and one of my sisters always did exactly the same thing for her kids every year. I am not that boring, but no "real" gifts go in there either.
