stocking stuffer ideas?

Since we are only doing one present each this year my stocking stuffers are off limits to the one present rule so Im trying to be creative of what I can fit in this year.

DD12- Monsters University dvd, girl pop karaoke cd and a rainbow dash equestrian doll that was in a skinny enough box to fit.

I need to look in my closet I dont think I have anything else hiding that I forgot about

Sneaky sneaky lol

For your 5 month old, the cup and link toy is great. Perhaps a teether (like the Sophie Giraffe teether), BabyLegs (if you like leg warmers on babies), or Piggy Polish which is safe for babies. I would definitely add a small board book or something like that. Or, a Zo-Li Gum Massager which is like a baby toothbrush that they can chew on.

For your 4 year old, in addition to the cars, maybe some sort of small figures like action figures or imaginext figures or something? Perhaps a book for him also. Crayons/fun markers, a stuffed animal, "cool" t-shirt rolled up, Play-Doh, cheap movie?

10 year old...maybe a diary? Or, the Wreck-This journal? Nail polish is a great idea. Hair ties maybe...perhaps a cute infinity scarf or something like that. She'd probably love fun socks, too. How about those glow-in-the-dark stars to stick on her bedroom ceiling/walls? Or the fun removable vinyl wall decals? Lipgloss or flavored chapstick would be great. Even something like a small coin bank might go over well.

Yes because I say so. My thoughts my opinion. I let my kids pick their own personal hygiene items.

Axe body spray is a little bit different than deodorant and shampoo.

I also don't agree with giving kids socks and underwear as gifts. i think those are things parents should provide their kids as needed not as a gift.

Ty it must be northern thing so many people fill stockings with socks, I'm like what an awful idea. Lol

Candy speciality kind, light up toys, yoyo, fingernail polish, glow in dark stickers, trading pins, concert tickets, lottery tickets, baby bottle, coal, bubble gum coal, rattle, sports mag, clementines, exotic food, mini zen garden.

That was last years stocking stuff that I can remember.

I enjoy getting body wash/ shampoo and socks and things like that in my stocking, it's stuff I need, and will use. Seems more practical to me. Just because you do not agree does not make it wrong

4 the 10 kids ages 4 - 16, they each will get a mini-Slinky and Silly Puddy!

And all the adults get Tic-Tacs and ChapStick.

I do lots of stuff..including socks and toiletries. LOL
My 14 year old daughter's stocking so far includes:
socks(cute patterned AE boot socks, not boring Hanes or anything. Last year was a 5 pairs of 1D no show socks and last year my son got Giants fuzzy socks)
Philosophy body wash
beanie(hat)
Skittles filled candy cane
Ghiradelli peppermint bark
Reese's PB trees
EOS lip balm
Eyeliner
Mani/pedi GC
Monsters U and Pitch a perfect DVD
Hallmark Mike(Monsters Inc) ornament
Nike Pro shorts
1D perfume
Lash curler
Sephora, Subway, AMC, B&N and DD gift cards

I would buy her any of the above if she asked, so if the rule of thumb is only things you wouldn't normally be getting, I don't know what I'd put in my kids stockings. She'll be happy about the socks, I know her!

My son has football cards in his stocking-I buy him baseball and football cards whenever he asks for them if he happens to be at Target with me. Doesn't mean he doesn't love getting more as a gift.
Last year I gave my kids and husband Tervis Tumblers, a cup. My son has used that cup every single day since last Christmas. Told me it was his favorite gift(and he got a
laptop last year..) LOL it was just a throwaway, a space filler.
It's fun getting new things, even if they are normal every day things.

Ok. Maybe I am missing something, but why would you give your DD shampoo, conditioner and deodorant in a Christmas stocking? To me, that is equivalent to putting coal in the stocking.

Nail polish hits the fun list, perhaps some polish remover too!

For the same reason, I personally do not like the bath soap idea either.

For the 6 mo old-two sippy cups will fill the stocking more than 1 cup will. And you've got a toy too!

Sorry about my opinion, I am struggling with what to put in DD's stocking too. I considered getting some laundry soap (1-load packets) as she is going to Europe for a class in January, and I gave myself the coal-chat too.

To be clear about the toiletries, I get them the cool special stuff they put out at Christmas. Like the Disney princess stuff, batman for DS etc.

They actually love it.

Stickers!! My parents give my sis and me some stickers every year in our stockings.:) (I have a rather large sticker collection...;))

I usually put a Dvd, small stuffed animal like a Beanie boo, a chapter or small activity book and some chocolate in my girls stocking. They are 10 and 7. This year I have also gotten things like rainbow loom bands, the small animal Lego Friends sets, cute animal fuzzy socks and lip balm in cute animal cases. I remeber last year I got them cupcake shaped soap, fun pens, stickers and hait accesories.

Son, 8: Tooth Tunes, pencil sharpener, erasers, baseball cards, Lego mystery packs, Push Pops, gum (all the stuff mom usually refuses to buy), ornament.

Husband: guitar strings, chap stick, some 45s, ornament

Dad: dark chocolate bars, packs of nuts, Burts Bees.

Dad's girlfriend: linen dishtowels, hand cream

Sister in law: Sephora mini polishes, nail polish strips, coffee beans

Brothers: 33 1/3 books, Godiva, jerky

Thank you for that idea!! My kids love stickers and will be a good stocking stuffer.

Going to check out the dollar section of Target too for more ideas.

y'alls stockings must cost a fortune to fill with movie passes, I tunes cards, and DVD's.

Those are gifts at my house - with 3 kids, hubby, and MIL's stocking getting stuffed by me - plus a few things for my step-moms because my dad sucks at it, and Hubby buying everything for mine. 99% of the stocking are dollar store items.
And still I spend at least $100+

We don't just include things that fit IN the stocking - the stocking is usually full with a little pile underneath it.

We wrap everything in it.

For the 4 year old I would do those smaller color wonder sets that have a few pages and a couple markers in them. Small stuffed animal or doll. If a girl the play makeup sets and play jewelry. For a boy a small action figure. Small kids flashlight.

For the 10 year old maybe an infinity scarf, perfume, lotions, lip gloss, nail polishes, bracelets, DVD, iTunes card.

For the baby a small board book, bath toys, sippy cup, small stuffed animal, or teeth toys, some of those yogurt bites.
