Stock question

While doing some cleaning, DH ran across a certificate for 30 shares of stock for a company called Met-Coil Systems Corporation. I did some searching, and couldn't find anything saying what it is worth (if anything). If I call a stockbroker, is this something they can tell me over the phone? The certificate is from 1989 for 30 shares.

A broker probably won't do that kind of research unless you hired him/her as your broker.

symbol used to be METS but the last trade listed was in 2000.

Check the certificate to see if the transfer agent is listed anywhere on the certificate. That would be the best place to start with regards to any value of the shares.
