Had some extra time at MK last night so we went to Stitch to see what all the (negative) fuss is about. And OMG what a weird attraction. Does anyone like it? How could you with the chili burp??

Well the original attraction (Alien encounter?) looked more like the aliens movie. But untill Disney comes up with a better idea and the time to close off part of Tomorrow land it falls to people who have some extra time to waste or people how don't know what it is about, plus some don't even know about stitch is about.

I wasn't a fan and neither were my niece and sister. We went during our first trip and it never came up as something we wanted to do when we were planning our 2nd and 3rd trip.

When I was a kid, Alien Encounter was my favorite ride (I know, im crazy. I LOVE horror movies now, so maybe that makes sense). I have never gone on Stitch because I still harbor such animosity that it replaced it! Buti hear from plenty of people it's pretty bad.

When did it switch? I don't remember the old one. Now should I try Captain EO too??

I did it back in 2013 and opted to sit on a bench last year while others decided to do it. The burp that smells like Dorito breath is nasty! I did like Alien Encounter though.

I much preferred Alien Encounter, but my DD (6) LOVES Stitch's Great Escape, so we always do it.

I've been on every ride that's been in that building, starting back when it was the trip to the moon. Nostalgia makes that my favorite. I liked Alien Encounter. Stitch just sinks every which way you look at it.

Alien Encounter was my favorite. Stitch is just a time waster only fit to do if we have NOTHING else going on or if it's raining.

I must be weird then. While I wouldn't consider it a must do, I think it's funny and the chili burp doesn't bother me at all.

This is the only thing I refuse to try. Gross-out humor is not my cup of tea. Just the thought of the chili burp thing disgusts me.

That said, I would've loved to ride it when it was ExtraTERRORestrial. The video of it on YouTube looks so scary!

My family loves Stitch, the character. We so wish they would make a better ride or incorporate him more into the parks. My boys always say they wish they would make a Minion Mayhem type ride with Stich and his cousins. Anything would be better that what they have now.

Me, too. Don't really understand what all the negativity is about. And DD18 has loved Stitch ever since the movie came out. So, while we don't do it every trip, we don't avoid it, either. To each her own!

(And I prefer Stitch's chili burp to the sting in my back during It's Tough to be a Bug!)

Now that's a great idea! That would be awesome!

Okay, our family's definitely weird! It's a must do for us every year. Yes, the burp is disgusting, but when you know it's coming... It's silly, yes. But I guess it's just a tradition now! We actually think it's kind of fun and don't understand the HUGE negativity. May not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's really not as horrible as you'd think after reading the reviews!

Same here. My problem with this attraction is something I rarely if ever see anyone else mention, so I must be odd in this regard---the "jumping" on the restraints kills my shoulders! Seriously painful. I must have a weird bone structure or something.

My youngest DS says the exact same thing. He's learned to sit up tall with his hands on his shoulders when the harness comes down--makes it stop a little higher. Then he takes his hands away and slouches a little bit so the jumping isn't as hard! At least he says it works....

Thanks for the tip!

Definitely - I lean forward to avoid it.

I don't sit up tall, but I do the same thing with my hands on my shoulders.

I think it's cute. It's a good way to kill time and a burp is a burp. It's part of the adventure!
