Stitch's Great Escape and DVC'ers

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about preview dates for the opening of Stitch's Great Escape for DVC members? I got a mailing last week and I believe it had said that the ride will be opening in Oct, but there would be some available preview dates for DVC members before. It said to watch the DVC website for details.

Does anyone have any more info on this?

We'll be there 9/19-9/26. I know that I shouldn't even hold out hope that there would be a preview while we're there, but it can't hurt to wish upon a star...

I have heard Nov 5,6,7. Do not know how accurate this info is, came from another website.????

I also read about these dates for AP holders on another post. That didnt make sense since I swear I read in the DVC mailing that the ride would be open in Oct. I wish I had saved the mailing since now I am questioning myself.

The mailing did say previews in October. As you can see below, we'll be there and I'm hoping we can get in.

Years ago, walking through MGM, my wife and I were invited by a cast member to try out a new ride. He took us through a locked side door, past empty roped-off spaces for lines that were still under construction, and into a room that looked like a little space capsule. There, with nobody else around, we got our own private test ride on Star Tours! Well, I fantasize how great it would be if lightning struck twice...

Yes, I have Vacation Magic right in front of me, and the first words of the article are "Opening in October..." I remember thinking that it would be lucky if they really did stick to their projection so that it would be open when we go in early October, but I doubted that would happen.

We were at the MK on Monday, and when I asked a CM, they said the opening date keeps getting pushed back. It does not look like it is anywhere near being done when we looked at it from above on the TTA.

We were at WDW at the beginning of August a year ago. We didn't think we'd get the chance to ride Mission: Space since it's opening was scheduled for Oct or Nov, but they had "soft openings" - unscheduled things, not publized or anything, and we were able to ride it 3 times. Seems like they were working out the bugs etc, but in the 3 times we rode I don't think we waited in line for 15 minutes total. The only indication it was open was a small sign out in front of the ride. Most people were just walking by with out a clue you could ride it.

I'm not sure if Stitch will be the same or not with the soft openings, but one can only hope.
