stitches great escape good or bad?

It is not exactly like Alien Encounter. At least when you were on AE, it was thrilling! You "felt" more things going on.

I will NEVER ride Stich AGAIN. Very boring. Even if there was no wait time for it, I wouldn't ride it--I'd get more out of just standing in the queue at Space Mountain without riding it.

The animatronic Stich was cool, though. And I heard a lot of kids commenting that they really liked it (they were all about 7 and under).

Hubby and I went on it when we were there for the marathon. We were not impressed. I swear the hubby was going to cry when they took the Alien attraction away.

Well, I figure at least Stich will teach kids to spit...

I liked Alien Encounter better.....so did my son!

Alien Encounter was a terrible experience especially for younger children. Adding Stich did nothing to improve an attraction which ought to be closed permanently.

It broke my heart! I wanted SGE to be fun and a little less frightening. I did my homework on most of the rides, but **BLEW IT** on this one! :guilty: My fault for not doing more research.

My family was the one last Thursday with the four year-old boy screaming  "Mommy, I want to go HOME!!" :sad1: :scared1: And he didn't mean back to the room, either. Longest three and a half minutes of my life. :sad2:

Bad Mommy! Bad Mommy! :guilty: :guilty:

absolutely shameful... best example of the worst of disney... lame rebadging of an existing ride... it is the same damn ride as AE with different props and video... all i could think to myself was "they closed for over year to do this?"... really, really sad... thank god it was raining and the park was dead so we could walk right on... two days later the wait was 70 minutes and i just wanted to tell all of those people how mad they were going to be once they got through... i am sure the designers over at US are laughing there collective ***** off at this latest effort by disney... and then resort tv show has the nerve to have charissa claim that it is one of the top ten not to be missed attractions... sad, sad, sad... if they continue to champion mediocrity with crap-*** rides like this then the parks will become a laughing stock... plain and simple it sucks...

if u think about it alien encounters was a terrible ride for disney. do u think walt disney would have an alien eat a guy over your head? i think not. so if u think about it it was a good idea on micheal isners part to make it a cute little alien burp chilli dog in your face then to have a big mean scary alien eat a guy! :confused3

Luckily, I didn't do the AP holder's preview for SGE. When I went on it, the wait time was 10 mins. I agree with the posters who've said it's lame, not to Disney standards, etc. I thought AE was much better but I'm more of a thrill rider myself. :teeth:

I have NO desire to ever waste time and wait for SGE again...once was more than enough! Also, enough with Stich on the monorail recordings...it gets very annoying after a while! :sad2:

Stitch goes on a short list of attractions I will never frequent again. I know its purpose is to sell toys, but at least attempt to make it a decent show.

I hated alien attraction. Didn't think it worked at all and definitely not scary. My friend went on Stitch and in his words said don't bother. If I see no line - I'll give it a try, but dosen't sound too great.

i have a question. Is the ride good for a three year old? thanks in advance.

As always, that depends on the three year-old. My timid four year-old screamed in fright the entire duration of the "ride." And I don't mean a little boo-hoo action--he was SCREAMING "I want to go home!" and he didn't mean back to the hotel, either. But my kid is timid and sensitive to extreme volume levels, which tend to be the norm at WDW.

For us, the key was most of the action takes place in the dark. It's a "sensory" ride where they lock you in place with overhead restraints (the kind the big looping roller coasters use), but never move. Take a timid kid who's a little afraid of the dark, add in he is held in place by an enormous restraint so he can't get to Mom or Dad and you've got an explosion waiting to happen.

It may be a moot point for you, though, if your 3 year-old isn't 38" tall. I would follow the recommendation of asking a couple of families as they exit the ride if you still aren't sure.

Good luck!

I wanted to scream also ,just because it was so bad. This is really forgettable. At least I wont waste any time lining up for it again. Bad Disney

Me and my sister loved the ride! :love1: We walked right on and thought it was great! Although I never went on Alien Encounter, in my opinion it was great. The seats were a bit uncomfortible, but the part where he taps on your head was awsome. I don't get all the negitive complainets. But if you haven't considered it as a must-see, definetly consider it.

I have to ask, why did you bring them on? Did you hear it was still frightning. This is a call out for all who say "I brought my 3/4/5/6 year old on it and he/she screamed the whole time!" If your kids are scared easily, DON'T BRING THEM ON! IT'S LOUD, DARK, AND SOMETIMES SCARY. PLEASE, DON'T TAKE THIS AS AND INSULT, BUT USE COMMMON SENSE!!!!!!! :headache:
Bye

Yes yes...calm down now...I bet they're the same kind of ppl who you see bring 4 year old kids to see movies like xXx and Saharah and Lord of the Rings :confused3

:rolleyes1
