Stitch Encounter

I recently touched on this in another thread. For someone who has the privilege of enjoying Disney from early childhood, they are most likely bound to see it in phases.

Childhood - everything is great and magical

Teenage - close to a trip to the dentist

Adulthood - fond nostalgia of being a kid in magical place and appreciation for it.

At least that is what I went through!

You should add the phase:
Adulthood with children...there isn't anything more fun (brings one more happiness) than enjoying the park(s) through the eyes of your child.

Yeah - we'll find that one out next year. DR junior (we're not naming him that though) is scheduled to arrive in Feb, but probably won't make it down until October. I guess we'll just have to keep going back until he starts to remember things!

Its funny - we were talking to my aunt yesterday about her first memories of WDW - she said she really had the best time watching us (the kids).

As for AE, I think a Stich redo, if done right, could be really great and add some appeal to Tomorrowland. I think it would be more in line with the MK.

Personally I hope - if they do anything - that the refurb Buzz first, it needs it desparately!

DW and I went on the DVC Member cruise last Feb and had a nice conversation with the imagineer that was about to start working on "Adding a Stitch Presence to AE". The thoughts were that this is an obvious place to put him, and he is a a very popular character. I enjoyed AE, but it is nowhere near as special to me as other rides (can you say Figment)? I am 40, DW and I have a Stich that "watches his movie" at least once a week...

If memory serves me, AE was supposed to be a lot better before it got Ei$ner cutback. There was a thread a while back about the "Director" and some un-disneylike photos. They talked a lot about the original concept with the super 3D audio/video screens

Here is a link to a thread that had a bunch of AE info in it from last year...

My 2 cents? AE is ok the first time you see it, but it looses its luster because the surprises are all gone. I think if done right this could be a valuable addition.
