No matter how hard I try, I almost always say stir for steer and steer for stir.:o It's a good thing I don't need to stir something when I'm trying to steer.;)

Is there words you miss speak that you have to stop and think if you've said them correct?

When I was little, I used to do that with silver and gold. Then I discovered jewelry and I learned the difference.;) Unles it's platinum gold, then I get all confused again.:p

The one word I have trouble with is ...wash.....Somehow I manage to put an "r" in there ...and it comes out "warsh"

I mix up window and mirror all the time. I obviously know the difference, but if I'm not really thinking about what I'm saying, it will come out the wrong way and I have to stop and envision the object in my mind. They don't even sound alike! I don't get it.

However, I think I'm the only person in this country who knows the difference between "lie" and "lay"!!!! ARGH!
