Ward - OMG! I used to watch that movie all the time! No idea why, but I did!

OT - So, I went to visit my Mom in Kankakee today. She had surgery b/c she had a rotor cuff tear or whatever you call it. Anyways, I wanted to bring her something b/c she is going to be in a sling for 6 weeks and bored to death. So, I went to Barnes & Nobles to purchase a Barbra Streisand DVD box set. It had 3 of her movies, The Way We Were, Prince of Tides, and The Mirror Has Two Faces. I think.

I was actually a little bit embarrassed! Any Barbra fans here? And yes, that is how Barbra spells her name! I'm not a fan, but my Mom is a huge fan. I think she liked it. She said she had those movies on VHS copies from 20 yrs ago.

Oh, and I had to drive my sister b/c she is still automobileless. She did find a Jeep Cherokee to buy from a friend though. I am "loaning" her the $.

Since we're on the topic of hangers, I have a question for everyone. Do you hang all of your clothes on hangers? DH thinks I'm crazy because I hang everything, including jeans and t-shirts. I didn't think it's so strange. I figure I don't have to worry about wrinkles this way.


For NYE, we are going to MIL's- SIL is in town with her boy-toy so we are all going there. (Maybe I'll get lucky and get the flu).

Im trying to quit smoking.....again..... and ......again..... am very cranky.

So last night Joey is playing some online video game, and has his music not loud, but his bass. I hate bass. I can like feel it in my chest. I hate hearing it.

So - I did the normal thing, and called him and asked him to turn it down. He gives me the "Ooooookay!!!!' and I went

So, again, doing the normal thing - I texted him, and said how he was only nice when he wanted something! (which he was a PEACH when he wanted me to sign for him, and go with him)

She's 40, he's 26. Usually I say to each his own and couldn't care less about age but this whole relationship between them is such a train wreck. He obviously has mommy issues, she's always telling him what to do and he just tucks his tail between his legs and does it. and she has Peter Pan syndrome-BIG TIME. If you saw them on the street you'd swear it was mother/son too. We refer to him as 'paper boy' (not to his face of course).

It doesn't help that I have a lot of resentment toward SIL because the world has to stop until she arrives. MIL only lives 3 miles away. Her only 2 grandkids (my kids) have to wait for their Christmas presents until New Years Eve because that's when SIL will be here. WTH! We invited her over Christmas Eve but she was much too busy getting ready for the arrival of the Queen. <insert throw up smilie here> My only enjoyment that night will be
1. when DH starts arguing with his sister, they fight like a couple of 8 year olds, it's hilarious-he makes her SO mad.

2. Several Long Islands and a Designated Driver.

Are you taking anything or just doing it cold turkey? DH is using Chantix right now, it's working great for him. He was smoking over a pack a day and he's been smoke free for 2 months.
