No clue. The "theyre just animals" comment made me ill.

THOSE are the kind of people who dump animals, leave them outside in bitter weather, let collars get embedded in their necks and KILL ANIMALS TO HAVE A FEW DAYS OFF OVER THE HOLIDAYS. Disgusting.

I thought about going and getting one....now I'm scared...I'm afraid they might have soem sortof disease that might harm my pets once I get them home. This shelter seems like it is horribly run.......I don't know what to do!!!

Plus we're still at my parent's house and they have 3 cats, we have 1 cat and 2 dogs! And it is a TINY house!!! I am so torn! I want to help but I just don't know if Ic an!

DH said no. He had lots of reasons and they are pretty valid so I can't be mad at him. I just hope all the press gets them a lot of adoptions today

You know what - I dont blame you. Parvo - for one - is a nasty terrible (expensive!) condition to treat. AND YES, you'd be putting your animals in harms way.

My husband was in an auto accident a week ago. He was at a stop light and the woman behind him never stopped (going about 30-40) He saw her in his rear view mirror a way's down the road and it never occurred to him she wasnt going to stop.

He is in a big ol' truck, so very minor damage to his car. Her car is done. It was under his truck and smooshed 1/2 way up the hood. Yikes!

Long story short, his back is sore. I feel bad for him. He's never had back problems, and is a really on-the-go agile man. And his back is hurrrrting.

He had a follow DR's appt, and calls me and gives me the update. It's just muscular, so thats good - then he tried to pull that the DR suggested lots of..... *ahem* .

They never quit - do they?

I'm glad he's ok cat and that its just muscular stuff that will work itself out over time.

Cat that is terrible about his wreck but hmm...that is some RX the doctor gave him....

Cat - Wow! I'm glad your DH is OK. I hope his back feels better. It is no fun being in pain. Do what you can to help him out. Maybe you'll have a mini-Cat girl.

I hear you about trucks and cars in accidents. When I was 16, I drove a Bronco. DH had his parent's taurus. He hit me from behind and my car had very little damage. His car was totalled. The whole front end was crushed and smoking. We were not dating back then. Isn't it ironic that he was the one that hit me? We went to high school together, but didn't start dating until Senior year in college.

Crap! I have to take the cat to the vet and I can't find here. I think she's up in the crawlspace b/c there is a HOT vent. I really don't want to cancel the vet b/c I can't find my dumb cat.

Then last night it was so chilly. And the furnace wasnt keeping up, but I figured it was just because it was SO COLD.

This morning the temp read 59º!!! And then it said, 58, 56, 55!!!

Furnace guy should be here annnnny minute.

GRRR! My dumb cat just came out. I had to cancel the vet. DH is downstairs blocking off the entrance to the crawlspace as I type.

Yes - finally got heat. Thank GOOOODNESS!!!

Then, my girlfriend (who is a baking extraordinaire) came over for a quick trim and brought me my yearly Christmas cookie boxes.

You like the little diagram she makes, too??? LOL!

SUN - wanna come over and moo-out on some baked goods? Bring a gallon-o-milk.

She has a REALLY GREAT baking blog. I mean FANTASTIC! Pictures and recipes and everything. Baking is her passion, IT is her line of work. If anyone wants her blog address, PM me.

She won a trip to San Francisco for a Bundt Cake recipe, a company sent her a bunch of free stuff (all because of her blog) Like I said....if you want it, PM me. If youre a baker, you will love it!

Glad you got your furnace working.

It was in the 20's here today but it's supposed to warm up as the week goes on. Its supposed to be 65 on Christmas day. LOL!

Sorry about your kitty Sun, good idea to cover up the hidey hole. I need to make a grooming appointment for our pupster. Only thing bad about a Scotty is they look all scraggly if you don't get them groomed every couple months or so.

We bought a pool table for our game room in our new house tonight! I am so excited! it took us forever to find one. In this economy you wouldn't think it would be so hard to find a pool table but they were sold out everywhere! Anyway we finally got the nicest combo table we could find with a lifetime warranty so they'll fix it or replace it if it should warp or anything. It's not slate but it's as nice as we could get and have it still be a combo cause I really wanted Air hockey, and we lucked out and it also comes with a ping pong table top that slides over it as well!

We met DH for lunch today at Red Robin, then returned some stuff at Old Navy, then went grocery shopping. I wanted to get that all done today b/c we are supposed to get more snow tomorrow. The only good thing is we are moving out of the negative degree temps! Tomorrow, I think we are going to stay in, snow day. I know DD is going to bug me to go sledding.

No problem! We paid for delivery and setup. DH decided it was worth it not to have to haul it upstairs himself! LOL!

I want to get a really cool light fixture to put over it but I don't know what yet. I'm not really big on the tiffany style that seems popular for pool table areas.

Blockbuster has Rockband out and the drums were driving me crazy while I was waiting in line.

I bought Guitar Hero World Tour w/ 2 guitars for our family X-mas present. I think you can purchase the rest of the band separately, can't you?
