Stinkeye!!! Stinkyeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stink Eye ! ! !!

Good morning everyone. I see we had a visit from the book police. :lmao:

Next time you guys go picking out a book to read, make sure you run it by the entire DIS community first. :rotfl2:

I'm off to Wally World, catch you all later. ;)

And for anyone who thinks they aren't welcome, I just joined this thread last spring because I enjoyed reading what they were talking about and I was welcomed right away. I feel more comfortable having a small group to talk to rather than having to post a question on the CB and get blasted for not knowing the answer.
I was welcomed right away also. I don't think we aren't welcoming. Whenever I post on the CB I usually get flamed, I don't feel that way here. I think some of the posts on the CB can get very serious, and overly critical, I think this thread is more light-hearted and that's why I like it. Plus I think the posters on here are really funny. And I like rainbows. That's why I post on this thread.

I was going to start reading Nora Robert's newest trilogy, maybe I should ask on the CB though, and make sure it's age appropriate, and I'm not "too old" to read it. :rotfl:

:confused3 I thought those books were geared for young teenage girls
Aren't you guys adult married women?

She lurks and lurks and only posts when she wants to say something nice. :confused3 :rolleyes1

But ummmm welcome I guess......

No need to welcome her. She's been here before. :)

To the poster asking about these books-you might want to read this thread. I guess for information on a subject I'd ask the DIS at large instead of a few posters on a clique thread, was my point.:goodvibes

Awww - thanks for pointing us to the correct thread to post in, JB! :thumbsup2

Happy Sunday everyone!

I am officially an HSN shopper. I ordered my first ever thing from them this morning. 2 sets of those Joy Mangano Huggable Hangers! My clothes better stick on those things like glue - for $150 total!!!

So - Im cleaning my room now. Prep'n for my hangers. :headache:

It's cooooold here today!

All of my facebook friends who are talking about this are married adults.
.

Well, then you probably should let them know they shouldnt be reading this series and to book the books down. It's your job, as their friend. :)

Cat - Did you get your rainbow pedicure?

Twilight - I don't read so no help there..........
!

I got a super fun copper color. Love it. So *fall*. :goodvibes

I dont read either.

Yes - the book police have been here. We have learned Twilight is along the same lines as any of the Judy Bloom books, so if youre reading one, to please stop.

And I like rainbows. That's why I post on this thread.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

What I really like about our thread is that we are a thread about nothing. It is very Seinfeld of us, don't you think? And I too like the fact that we are into rainbows, but not in *that* way. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Yes, I like the nothingness too. I have a hard time staying on topic sometimes, and on here, I don't have to worry about it since nothing is off topic. :goodvibes

Have any of you ever listened to Avenue Q. I have it on now, and it's sooo funny.

The Host is the only other book she's written besides the Twilight series. I highly recommend it. :thumbsup2 I hope she decides to publish Midnight Sun though, (Twilight by Edward's point of view,) as well as many other books. I'm sure I'd read them all.

I want to read it, I haven't. I have only read the Twilight series...but apparently I am too "old" for these types of books.

Nope who are they?

??? What is it?
It's a Broadway musical, it's a really "adult" version of Sesame Street. Some of the songs are; "Everyone's A Little Bit Racist," and "What Do You Do With a BA in English?"

Just don't listen to it with kids around - there are some bad words in it.

Sorry peeps! I was thought the core group was married & middle aged from seeing CR's pics and profile

Having a minor in English in college, I was always fascinated with Shakespeare. When you really look at most romance novels, they all stem somewhere back to a classic Shakespeare play.
To really appreciate literature, you have to read the classics, don;t you agree?:)

WOW! I didn't know 34 was middle-aged. :confused3 I'll be 34 in a couple of months, that's pretty scary.

Welcome to the thread Loverly!

I think more like 50 is middle-aged. I hope being in your 30's isn't, and Cat doesn't even look that old.

:scared1:

HOLY SCHMOLY!!!!!!! I just turned 30...
I am now middle aged :headache:

Sheesh...Its all down hill now I guess :confused3

WOW being in your 30's is middle aged now. Guess I missed that in the Great Big Rule Book.

BTW.... I read all of the Harry Potter books and as soon as I can get Twilight at my local library I plan on reading it. (I'm on a waitlist)

Well, I'm middle aged, but unlike some people I actually act like it.

It's always frustrating to see some middle-aged folks act like they're still in high school - don't y'all agree? :lmao:

So, what are y'all's biggest pet peeves? popcorn::

Morning chickies!

My pet peeves...
socks w/ flip flops or sandals.
people who were there PJs to the store.
I am sure there are a few others.
