Stinkeye!!! Stinkyeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stink Eye ! ! !!

Xena - no tag yet? Hmmm.

I'd love to go to California! I've never been there. I was looking at some cruises that leave from there. Airfare to San Diego was kind of high, but to Los Angeles, it was reasonable. I'm too scared to go to Disney or Sea World during Spring Break b/c of the crowds. I'm spoiled with always being at Disney during low crowds. I'll go to Mexico though w/ the drug wars. ;)

SUN - Spring Break isnt bad in California, like it is in Florida.

My mom and I used to go to California EVERY YEAR in the summer....and many years, over the 4th of July. It isnt as crowded as it gets in Florida, at all. Nor is it as damn hot.

That's a REALLY wonderful option. I cant tell you guys how much I LOVE California. :goodvibes :cloud9:

Universal there is TOTALLY different (and really fun) Knotts is a hop, skip and a jump away from Disneyland - which again, is the same, but really different, and I personally love Disneyland. Ive never been to California Adventure... The beach is...maybe 20 minutes from Disneyland.... not a long drive at all. Beverly Hills & Hollywood is also not a far drive from Disneyland (just assuming you stay near there)

The ticket prices are WAY cheaper for DL & CA. And you can actually stay 'off property' and literally walk across the street to the parks.

I *just* said tonight to the family 'we should go to California'. I got thumbs downed - but like I said... I LOVE California. I mean, I reallllly love California.

Honestly... I think I could still get to here from there if I were to go on Vacation there again. I remember it like the back of my hand.

ONE MORE THING SUN - the time change being BEHIND us... makes for a really easy 'get up early and go' We would wake up at like 5.30 (their time), get all ready, go to breakfast and still get to DL before they opened. :thumbsup2

More California talk.....

The last time I went Danny was 4 months old. It was literally during the OJ trials. We were actually in a town between San Diego (which I adore!) and Anaheim.

We had planned 1 day at DL, then onto Bev Hills, and Hollywood - and even though we were in Carlsbad - we were going to spend the night at the Disneyland hotel.

Like I said - we woke up early, and headed to DL - and then heard on the radio the jury had reached a verdict. We actually were like 'dammit!' We imagined the LA Riots if things didnt go in OJ's favor.

So - we decided we would go to Disneyland (we figured we were safe there) If it was guilty, we were headed back to Carlsbad - but if it was NOT guilty, we'd go on with our plans.

It was funny though... my then husband was wearing a walkman to hear the verdict. Everyone was walking around that morning, waiting. Then when it came in ' *Chip* was standing in front of my husband, so he heard him go - theyre reading it! And he did this: :confused3 to my ex-husband. Even Chip wanted to know what the answer was.

We stayed the night. And then we did super touristy things....like attempting to go past OJ's house. :lmao: They had the street blocked off, but I did get a picture of my son with the officer blocking the street.

We drove the 'route' that he drove....we decided it was TOTALLY plausable he had done it. I ALSO got a picture of Nicole Simpson's house, all yellow taped off. And let me tell you - that was on a BUSY street (for SUN - not like Ogden Avenue busy....but totally comparable to 55th!) AND that gate and the walkway out the gate to the sidewalk was NOT long. It wasnt that far back. I mean - at all. SUN - from like your curb, to your door is totally equal, if not LONGER than her walkway.

We left (with our tourist detective hats on) thinking it was impossible that no one heard anything. The town homes were boom-boom-boom, next to each other. It was a residential neighborhood, but on a street that I oculdnt stop to take a picture....I had to take it while driving... it was that busy.

I can tell you about our alien experience too, if youd like?

Sun - totally go to California. :cloud9:

I have pictures of Marilyn Monroe's house (whom her old man neighbor was outside and I couldnt see over the gate - so he told me to stand on my trunk....that's what everyone else did. THEN I saw him on like Inside Edition or one of those shows during an anniversary of her death....since he lived there then! And I will tell you....he wanted to TALK!!! Talk and talk....said there were a a LOT of people there that night. Said it 'wasnt as they said' He must have talked to me for 20 minutes!)

Lucille Balll's house (which was big - but not huge - and NO gate! Just on a normal street, with a walkway, and little bushes by the front door - you know what it looked like SUN? That house on Prairie, between Main and Belmont and the south side of the street with the pillars.... that looks like it doesnt belong there - know which one I mean?).... that Hansel & Gretel looking house....the house where the Beverly Hillbillies was filmed.

We took the 'Graveline Tour' one year - went past where John Belushi died, Janis Jopin, Superman, gosh... I cant even remember it all. (I actually really recommend a tour or two!)

They then gave us a map of more 'death' places to explore on our own....one of which was Sharon Tate's house. So.....

We drove allllllll the way up the hill, that winded and winded and winded around and around and around this hill. The house was at the very top. I cant even BELIEVE those freaks WALKED it. I would STILL be walking it, if that were me. It was insane.

Then we get up there and theyre doing construction on it - so we were super:    Theyre all looking at us like 'tourists!!!'

OH - Mommy Dearest's house, too.

Ummmm....OH! I got pictures of Marilyn Monroe's grave - she's in a mausoleum wall in the same cemetery where that little girl from Poltergeist is in, Natalie WOod..... here, look: http://www.seeing-stars.com/Buried2/PierceBros.shtml

That was a weird cemetery. It was just plunk in the middle of all these tall office buildings. You'd never know there was a cemetery back there.

I REALLY love California!!!

OH! And Catalina Island!!!!! It's a CUTE little place! It reminded me of Holland & Saugatuck, MI - but just better.

And now I miss my Mom.... man, I had a fun childhood!!! :cool2: :yay:

Oh good, you are helping me plead the case for California! It is so fun! We are also going to get to do something really special because you know I told you guys that my patient is an animator for Disney? She is going to take us on a tour of the studio! I'm so excited! I'm talking Disney's Burbank Studio!

So bummer news. I'll have to tell more tomorrow in case my DH walks in, but my MIL and FIL are going to join us at Disneyland. Great. That totally takes some of the fun out of it. MIL is so annoying!

Geesh you girls have been chatty today!!
Sun that's funny you would rather be in a drug war zone than Disney at spring break:lmao: :rotfl2:

What shoes were you wearing???

I am still packing.......

I am so behind......

I leave in the morning...

Oh, the one thing that is totally funny about Disneyland. Every time we see it for the first time we laugh a little. The castle is tiny! It looks like a doll house or something. Sometimes I go there and I'm walking up Main Street and all of a sudden I realize it is there at the end of the street, like I was thinking of the big castle, but maybe it was around the corner or something, like I just couldn't see it yet. I don't even realize it is in my view and I just laugh a little!

I'm not drinking and that didn't make much sense, but do Disneyland and when you go down Main Street you will think "Oh Xena, I get what you said!"

No - it is teeny tiny. Looks so small. I like the moat around it though.... think thats cooler looking.

4" heels too?

Blonde Hair.
Forked.
Spooned.
Dirty Ads.
Crabs.
4" heels.

Interesting. :rolleyes1

ARE YOU CRAZY???

I would have fallen over!! :lmao:

I love heels. I wear 3 inch heels almost all the time, to work, grocery shopping, whatever. I even wear sandals with heels. I even wear them to Disney. I'm one of those crazy people they talk about all the time in those *who wears heels at Disney World* threads. (Not all the time at Disney, but some, definitely out for dinner.) I love heels. but 4 inches is just a bit too tall sometimes.

I guess I'm a lot less boring than I thought!

Still no Angel. Does anyone know what's up?

She's been on Facebook. I think she needed a break ......from certain people (yeah, Im looking at you XENA *stink eye*!!!)

KIDDING!

I think she just wanted a break. Plus she started a new job, so we always try and make our best impression (i.e. act like we dont go in the internet) when we first start. :rolleyes1

Cat - I don't think I need to go to California anymore. You just told us everything! I feel like I've already been there. :lmao:

Xena - 4 inch heels! I'd break both my ankles in 1 minute. I'm not a heel girl at all. I go for the smallest heel when I have to wear them.

Where is Ward and Breezy too?

OMG! The crazy Eddie Z's lady is stalking me. She keeps calling and I keep not answering. I sent her an email and said we would not be placing an order. Your pricing is crazy. Sorry.

Hope she gets the clue!

So, whatcha all doing this weekend?

I have dinner w/ the family on Friday for my sister's b-day. Saturday is a big party for her b-day at a bar. She's 40. Sunday is recovery day. :) I already told Ernie he is driving Saturday night. :cool2:
