YoMomma ~ Are you glad we got Griffey back? I was in high school when he started playing for us and I used to have a friend whose grandparents had 4th row seats right behind home plate. Sometimes when they didn't want to go they would give them to us and we thought we were so cool sitting there where the players look at you sometimes. I am so excited to have him back.

(OK I know I'm way older than you are, but work with me here! Pretend you weren't in diapers when he was a Mariner!)

Did any of you see Hotel For Dogs? We just got back. It was SUPER CUTE! DH didn't think so. I kept telling Abby how much I liked the movie too (she loved it) and DH kept asking me, "Really? Are you serious?" He's such a guy.

I thought it was a great, feel good movie.

Cat - It's at the Tivoli.

Xena - Griffey was on the White Sox last year. Not so good. I think he should hang up the cleats. He's a Hall of Famer, but I think his time is over and he should quit while he's ahead. It was exciting to have him play for us for a year though. I just wish he made a bigger impact. JMO

What's everyone doing today. I have a bunch of errands and chores to do. I'm still not sure wether or not we're having people over for the Oscars, but I want to get everything I need today anyway, just in case. Which means stopping at the liquor store since that is the most important stuff.

I'm thinking daqauris and pina coladas, and then a bunch of finger food. I think I'm going to make mini quiches, three different kinds of dips; spinach, crab, and a layered Mexican one, and some kind of wrap. Then also a fruit tray with fruit dip, and this big box of truffles I got for reduced after Valentine's.

I have had a very sad morning. My grandmother said she felt something was wrong, so my dad took her to the hospital a couple of hours ago.

She may have had a heart attack, but they weren't sure if she did or not yet. She has to stay in the hospital overnight for tests, though when I talked to my dad he said he thinks she'll be there for a few days at least.

I'm just going to try and keep busy all day, and keep my mind on other things, as I worry way too easily. At least I have all that cooking to do for tonight to keep occupied. And I have friends coming over tonight, so that'll help.

Well the day just got even worse. Still no word yet on what is wrong with my grandmother, but my dad got a phone call from the son of a very good friend of my grandmother's, who for years my sister and I have referred to as my grandmother's "boyfriend," saying that he had died last night.

We haven't told my grandmother yet, and we're not going to until she comes home, as it would do nothing but upset her.

It's really sad, he visited my grandmother almost daily, made her lunches, and brought her little gifts most day. He was a big help to our family, as we need all the help we can get with our grandmother.

This just really stinks.

So it turns out she did in fact have a heart attack. Ironically that is also how her friend died last night.

She probably won't get to go home for awhile, which really stinks because she was just in the hospital for awhile in November, and now it's all happening all over again.
